    摘要: A method for applying a polymer to a substrate having a first surface and a second surface (such as an inside surface and outside surface). One or more apertures are provided through the substrate, with the apertures linking the first and second surfaces. A polymer coating is applied to the first and second surfaces, with some of the polymer coating flowing into and remaining within the aperture(s). The polymer coating within the aperture(s) serves to link the polymer coating covering the first surface and the polymer coating covering the second surface. The invention also encompasses coated objects made using the inventive method.

    摘要: A device (1) for introducing a plugging compound (20) into a borehole (21), the device having a sleeve (2) with a cavity (3) for receiving the plugging compound (20). On one side, the sleeve (2) has a discharge opening (5), corresponding to the cavity (3), for discharging the plugging compound (20), and a support section (7), projecting laterally from the sleeve, for providing a support option for the sleeve (2) during introduction of the plugging compound (20). On the opposite side of the sleeve (2), an upper opening (4) is provided, through which a piston (16) together with a feed plate (18) protrudes into the cavity (3). The piston (16) is movable relative to the sleeve (2) in such a way that the feed plate (18) can be displaced in the cavity (3), for example to allow the plugging compound (20) to be received and dispensed.

    摘要: Technologies described herein are generally related to systems and processes for repairing a graphene membrane on a support. A chamber may receive a layer of graphene on a support. The layer of graphene may include a hole. A first container including an initiator may be effective to apply an initiator through the hole to the support to functionalize the support and produce an initiator layer on the support. A second container including an activator may be effective to apply an activator through the hole to the initiator layer to activate the initiator layer. The application of the activator may further be effective to grow a polymer from the initiator layer. The growth of the polymer may be effective to produce a polymer plug in the hole and effective to repair at least a portion of the layer of graphene.
