摘要: The nonwoven fabric sheet of the present invention is characterized by a porosity in the range of 0.3 to 0.7 and an average pore size in the range of 0.5 μm to 5.0 μm. The nonwoven fabric sheet of the present invention preferably has a maximum pore size (μm)/average pore size (μm) ratio of 1.30 or lower. The nonwoven fabric sheet of the present invention is obtained by press-molding a nonwoven fabric at a temperature lower than the melting point of the thermoplastic resin which constitutes the nonwoven fabric sheet. According to the present invention, there is provided a nonwoven fabric sheet that has a high porosity, small uniform pore sizes and excellent productivity, which can suitably be used in various applications such as filters, light diffusing material, liquid absorber and heat insulating materials; and a method for producing the nonwoven fabric sheet.

摘要: The preform is formed by an upper neck which maintains unchanged its form in the final object and a hollow body, joined to the neck. The method foresees the insertion, within a matrix cavity, of a metered body of polymeric material whose mass is metered according to a reference value, and the subsequent pressure insertion of a punch within the matrix cavity until it closes the mold's molding chamber, the punch conferring the shape to the inner surface of the preform and the matrix having an inner surface which confers the shape to the outer surface of the preform. According to the invention, in the molding of the preform, the error of the mass of the metered body with respect to the reference value is distributed in the hollow body, which undergoes a subsequent hot deformation until it achieves the final shape. In the mold, the matrix comprises at least one deformable wall (31) whose inner surface defines at least part of the inner surface of the matrix part intended to give form to the hollow body of the preform, said deformable wall (31) having, at least in part, a relatively thin thickness which permits it to be elastically deformed under the pressure of the polymeric material in the final preform molding step, thereby varying the thickness of the hollow body.

摘要: An orthopedic implant device and method is disclosed. Specifically, a knee mold system is disclosed, including elastic tibial and femoral molds, each of which may be configured and dimensioned as a unitary mold for in situ placement during a surgical procedure. Each mold may be manufactured from an elastic material that may be disposable. The tibial mold may further comprise a sidewall forming a cavity, markings for relative depth measurement, and depth rings for use as a guide for scoring, cutting, and/or trimming and tearing away an excess portion of the tibial mold. The femoral mold may further comprise a sidewall defining a cavity, two legs extending from a body of the femoral mold for forming the artificial condyles, and an eyelet for aiding in placement and removal of the femoral mold. The resulting prosthetic tibial and femoral components may form an articulation surface that mimics, at least in part, the natural articulation surface of the knee.
