A light irradiation molding apparatus includes a pair of rubber molds through which light passes, and a light-irradiating means for emitting light from surfaces of the pair of rubber molds to a particulate thermoplastic resin placed in the cavity. The light irradiation molding apparatus relatively and sequentially moves the pair of rubber molds and the light-irradiating means so that an irradiation position of light emitted from the light-irradiating means moves from a melted portion to an unmelted portion of the thermoplastic resin, and the light irradiation molding apparatus sequentially melts portions of the thermoplastic resin.

Implementations of the present invention relate to decorative thermoplastic resin panels, which can include one or more recesses. The recess of the thermoplastic resin panels can have texture or texture patterns that differ from the texture or texture patterns of non-recessed portions or other recesses of the decorative thermoplastic resin panel. Additionally, the present invention relates to a method for forming recesses in thermoplastic panels with a flexible die.

A mold (10) according to the present invention is a mold for molding a surface of a laminate (60) when curing the laminate (60) obtained by laminating prepreg (62). The mold (10) has a planar plate shape and elastically deforms from the planar plate shape into a shape corresponding to a shape of the laminate (60), thereby being capable of coming tight into contact with the laminate (60). Thereby, a mold which is easy to handle can be provided.

The invention provides (1) a reinforcing fiber base material having a weave constituted of both reinforcing fiber filaments arranged in one direction in parallel with each other and auxiliary yarns arranged in another direction, which satisfies the relationship: L=H/cos θ (wherein L is the length of auxiliary yarn covering one reinforcing fiber filament and H is the width of the filament as determined in such a state where the reinforcing fiber filaments are unified only with the auxiliary yarns; and 3°≦θ (in-plane shear strain)≦30°) and wherein 2 g/m2 to 40 g/m2 of an adhesive resin having a glass transition temperature between 0° C. and 95° C. is adhesed to at least one side thereof in spots, lines, or discontinuous lines; (2) a laminate obtained by laminating layers of the above reinforcing fiber base material, wherein the adhesive resin adhesed to each layer of base material partially bonds to a facing layer of base material over the whole surface thereof, with the maximum length of each bonding joint being not less than 1 mm and not more than the width H of a reinforcing fiber filament; and (3) a preform, obtained by shaping the laminate, having a reinforcing fiber volume fraction (Vpf) of 45% to 62%.

摘要:
A method for the compression molding of a plastic part including a neck which is equipped with an orifice, in which a blank is created and compressed. The part is molded with a neck which is equipped with a top wall including a thin area with a notch, the contour of this thin area defining the orifice, and two zones which can withstand the mechanical stress necessary in order to break the top wall at the notch. One of the two zones is intended to transmit the mechanical stress and the other is used as a support. The section of the notch is slightly inclined in relation to the axis of the neck. After molding, mechanical stress is applied to one part of the top wall, other than the thin area, so that the top wall tears at the notch, thereby producing the dispensing orifice.

A sheet or film-forming roll has an inner cylindrical member and an elastic outer cylindrical member. The inner cylindrical member has a pressure chamber therein. As the inner cylindrical member becomes deformed (crowing change) depending on a pressure value of incompressible fluid led to the pressure chamber, the elastic outer cylindrical member becomes deformed (crowing change) too.

Decorative textured surfaces are formed on articles having curved or contoured surfaces. A reusable, flexible textured blanket is placed in a mold along with a first material charge. A pressurizer is used to both impart the texture of the blanket to the first material charge and consolidate the charge to form a textured shell. The blanket is removed from the mold and a second material charge is introduced into the mold over the shell. The application of heat and pressure consolidates the second material charge and the shell to both form and cure the completed article.

An optical element is manufactured using a replication tool comprising a negative structural feature defined in a replication side of the replication tool, and a peripheral feature formed in the replication side of the replication tool adjacent the negative structural feature. The negative structural feature defines the shape of the optical element. A replication material is disposed between a substrate and the replication tool, which are moved toward each other. The peripheral feature confines the replication material to a predetermined area of the substrate. The replication material can be hardened to form the optical element from the replication material attached to the substrate.

A nanoimprint stamper with a novel structure is provided that can simultaneously conform to two types of anomaly in the shape of a transfer substrate, i.e., a warpage and surface protrusions (including foreign objects) that differ greatly in the wavelength of variation, and which is capable of performing transfer with a smaller number of defects and in a uniform way.The nanoimprint stamper comprises a light-transmitting rigid substrate, a light-transmitting resilient plate, a light-transmitting and flexible rigid stamper base, a light-transmitting stamper buffer layer, and a light-transmitting patterned stamp layer, the stamper buffer layer having a lower Young's modulus than the patterned stamp layer.
