摘要： The invention relates to a two roll press having press rolls positioned side-by-side, the axes of which are mounted in bearing housings guided between parallel horizontal guiding surfaces in lateral frame members of the press frame, said guiding surfaces extending each to the ends of said frame members, and connecting frame heads provided in the area of the ends of said frame members, said connecting frame heads forming the abutments for the bearing housings and being detachably connected to said frame members, and being provided with means which enable them to be brought into a horizontal position in such way that one of the surfaces being in vertical position serves as guiding surface in vertical and lateral alignment with the guiding surface of the lower frame member.

摘要： A press is provided of the type used in compressing refractory material at high pressures in the manufacture of bricks and the like. The press includes a bed, columns supported by the bed, and a mold table slidably supported on the columns, the mold table including a central aperture housing a removable mold. The press further includes at least one plunger extending upwardly into the mold cavity of the mold. The press also includes a pallet for supporting the plunger, the pallet being releasably attached by alignment pins to the press bed and being supported for slidable movement on the upper surface of the press bed by a plurality of inflatable air bags located between the upper surface of the press bed and the pallet, the air bags each including at least one aperture in the bottom wall of the air bag. Air can be forced into the air bags to cause inflation of the air bags and can escape through the aperture in the bottom wall to form a fluid cushion between the pallet and the upper surface of the press bed.

摘要： A punch press remotely disengageable from the punch drive mechanism, particularly useful where the press must operate in a hostile environment. The press includes a punch block, supporting one or more punches, which is laterally inserted into connection with the punch drive apparatus. A die set is provided for supporting one or more dies, and the die set is associated with the punch block such that the punch is guided into a preselected position relative to the die by the drive apparatus. A structural frame is provided for seating the die set, which can be laterally inserted and removed from the frame. Guide rails are also provided which can extend laterally from the frame and support the die set in a position removed from the normal operating position within the frame. The guide rails also support the die set in the operating position. An hydraulic cylinder can also be provided to laterally eject the guide rails and die set, and the punch block and punch from the frame area, thereby exposing the components for removal.

摘要： A support plate is permanently fixed on the table of the press, which plate has mounted on the top thereof rollers, lateral guides and an abutment. Sets of tools are used, each of them comprising an upper tool and a lower tool. They are connected together by guiding columns and safety upright, so as to have always a constant total height. When being installed the sets of tools are located, or removed by moving the bed-plate of the lower tool on the rollers of the support plate. After placing and locating the tools, the bed-plate of the lower tool is clamped on the support plate and the bed-plate of the upper tool is clamped on the slide member of the press. After removal of the safety upright, the press is then ready to operate.

摘要： Apparatus of the type which includes a frame having a base portion with a support surface, a ram reciprocably mounted to said frame for movement toward and away from said support surface of the base portion, and a die unit removably positioned on said supporting surface. The die unit is comprised of an anvil arrangement and a blade element slidably and telescopically associated with said anvil arrangement to cooperate therewith for the processing of a workpiece. The die unit is constructed so that the blade element may be releasably connected to said ram whereby interchangeability thereof is attained. In addition, there are provided means to facilitate the proper positioning of said die unit with respect to said ram. Said alignment means include protruding means provided on the underside of said anvil arrangement adapted to cooperate with correspondingly shaped recess means formed in the support surface of said base portion. The recess means are designed to receive said protruding means and thereby properly to position said die unit with respect to said ram along a first axis of alignment. Said alignment means further include additional means to attain proper positioning along a second axis of alignment.
