Abstract: A height detection system of a motorcycle for determining a load-dependent height of a rear carrier part in relation to a rear wheel swing arm of the motorcycle includes a measuring device connecting the rear carrier part and the rear wheel swing arm for measuring the distance between the rear carrier part and the rear wheel swing arm, and a fastening web formed integrally and protruding from the rear carrier part in the direction of the rear wheel swing arm. The fastening web includes a lateral bearing face configured to receive a rear carrier end of the measuring device.

Abstract: Various systems and methods associated with protecting a rider of an electric bicycle from hazards while riding their bicycle are described. In some embodiments, the systems and methods enhance the safety of the rider in response to current detected conditions surrounding the rider, such as conditions associated with the route or path traveled by the rider, other vehicles within the route or path traveled by the rider, potential hazards within the route or path traveled by the rider, environmental conditions through which the rider is traveling, and so on.

Abstract: A brake pad assembly for a human-powered vehicle having a wear sensor and a number of probes surrounded by the tribological pad of the brake pad assembly. The wear sensor generates a signal indicating a wear condition of the tribological pad when one of the number of probes is agitated. The signal is transmitted via a transceiver circuit to an external processor, which may provide indications of wear condition to a user of the human-powered vehicle. The brake pad assembly may further comprise a tribological pad, base plate, wear sensor, and support for the transceiver circuit comprised of ceramic components.

Abstract: A rider-posture changing device for a human-powered vehicle comprises a first member, a second member, a first detector, a second detector, and a controller. The first member extends in a longitudinal direction. The second member is configured to be movable relative to the first member in the longitudinal direction. The first detector is configured to detect first information indicating whether the second member reaches an absolute position or not. The second detector is configured to detect second information indicating a movement distance of the second member from a reference position in the longitudinal direction. The controller is configured to obtain a current position of the second member relative to the first member based on the second information and the reference position. The controller is configured to store the absolute position as the reference position in accordance with the first information.
