摘要: A powered wheeled riding device is configured to receive left and right foot inputs from a user and in response control a left motor and a right motor to move respective left and right wheels forwardly and backwardly consistent with the left and right foot inputs in order to steer the device without changing a direction of the wheels relative to a frame of the riding device. The riding device has at least one rear wheel that is not powered. The rear wheel is mounted on a wheel mount that rotates freely about a vertical axis so that the rear wheel freely is directed in any direction.

摘要: A manufacturing method of a bicycle unit has the following steps. In a pressing step: press metal sheets to form casing parts being overlappable. In an abutting step: abut the casing parts to form an abutting line. In a connecting step: connecting the two casing parts along the abutting line to form a motor mount prestructure having side plates and a motor-installation space formed therebetween. A prestructure of a bicycle frame is thereby made. In a motor mount forming step: cut the two side plates of the motor mount prestructure in compliance with a pre-determined motor system so as to form a bicycle frame unit with a motor mount.

摘要: A system includes a tool and an emergency response vehicle transitionable between a motive gear and a non-motive gear. The emergency response vehicle includes a mount for removably securing the tool to the emergency response vehicle. The system further includes a scanner coupled to the emergency response vehicle and operable to detect the tool when the tool is secured to the emergency response vehicle by the mount and a controller communicatively coupled to the scanner. The system is configured to determine that the emergency response vehicle has transitioned between a non-motive gear and a motive gear and in response to determining that the emergency response vehicle has transitioned between the non-motive gear and the motive gear, cause the scanner to scan the emergency response vehicle for the tool to determine whether the tool is secured to the emergency response vehicle.

摘要: Since a front antenna 33 performs road-to-vehicle communication and vehicle-to-vehicle communication with oncoming vehicles, a nondirectional antenna enables effective communication in communication distances. Vehicle-to-vehicle communication with rearward vehicles by a rear antenna 37 needs long communication distances compared with road-to-vehicle communication and vehicle-to-vehicle communication with oncoming vehicles. The rear antenna 37 can also perform communication effectively with rear vehicles since what is selected is a directional one that can provide longer communication distances than a nondirectional one and that has directionality rearward of the vehicle. The front antenna 33 is disposed forward of a seat 7, and the rear antenna 37 is disposed rearward of the seat 7, which can inhibit an attenuation of electromagnetic waves due to the rider and the like. Consequently, while being capable of performing road-to-vehicle communication effectively, vehicle-to-vehicle communication with rearward vehicles can also be performed effectively.
