Abstract: A smart safety device for a bicycle or scooter is disclosed. The smart safety device includes a pair of handlebar grips configured to be removably coupled to a handlebar of the bicycle or scooter. Each handlebar grip includes at least one object detection sensor to detect traffic in the vicinity of the handlebar, and at least one vibrator configured to vibrate based on input from the at least one object detection sensor. Moreover, the smart safety device includes a user interface mounted substantially centrally to the handlebar and including at least one detector to detect traffic in front of the bicycle or scooter. The user interface also includes at least one indicator configured to indicate a presence of an object in front of the bicycle or scooter based on input from the at least one detector.

Abstract: A bicycle includes a frame, a motor, a battery, and a key interface. The frame includes a head tube, a down tube coupled to the head tube, a central hub coupled to an end of the down tube opposite the head tube and defining an internal cavity, and a mount positioned at least partially directly underneath the internal cavity. The motor is coupled to the mount such that the motor is positioned at least partially underneath the internal cavity. The battery extends at least partially into the internal cavity of the central hub and positioned at least partially directly above the motor. The battery is configured to power the motor. The key interface is supported by the mount. Engaging the key interface releases the battery to facilitate removing the battery from the frame.

Abstract: A handlebar grip set has two turn signals, two operating kits, and two grips. Each of the two turn signals is detachable and has a base, an illumination module assembled to the base, and a housing assembled to the base and covering the illumination module. Each operating kit has a button module electrically connected to the illumination module of a corresponding one of the turn signals. Each one of the grips surrounds the base of a corresponding one of the turn signals. The base of each turn signal is configured to be assembled to one of two ends of a handlebar. The turn signals of the handlebar grip set provide sufficient warning function when a bicycle equipped with the handlebar grip set is turning.
