    摘要: A blast furnace system is used wherein the coke rate is decreased by recycling upgraded top gas from the furnace back into its shaft section (which upgraded top gas is heated in a tubular heater prior to being recycled). The top gas, comprising CO, CO2 and H2, is withdrawn from the upper part of the blast furnace; cooled and cleaned of dust, water, and CO2 for increasing its reduction potential and is heated to a temperature above 850° C. before being recycled thus defining a first gas flow path used during normal operation of the blast furnace. Uniquely, a second gas flow path for continued circulation of top gas selectively through the heater and a cooler during operation interruptions of the blast furnace allows time for gradual controlled cool down of the heater in a manner to avoid heat-shock damage to the tubular heater.

    摘要: A conventional dust-catcher for blast furnace gas comprises a pressure vessel, with a gas inlet and outlet dome (14), a separation chamber (16) and a lower dust hopper (18), and a diffuser pipe (26) extending axially through the gas inlet and outlet dome (14) into the separation chamber (16). To increase the separation efficiency of such a dust hopper (18), it is proposed to centrally arrange a flow deflecting chamber (50, 50′), having a smaller cross-section than the separation chamber (16), in the separation chamber (16), so that there remains an annular settlement chamber (52) between the inner wall of the separation chamber (16). The diffuser pipe (26) is connected to this flow deflecting chamber (50, 50′) so as to axially discharge a downward gas flow into the top end of the flow deflecting chamber (50, 50′), wherein this downward gas flow is deflected upward. An annular swirling device (58) with guide vanes (60) is arranged in the top end of the flow deflecting chamber (50, 50′) around the lower end of the diffuser pipe (26) and acts as outlet opening for the gas flow into the into the pressure vessel of the dust-catcher. The guide vanes (60) form a vortex gas flow rising around the diffuser pipe (26) upward into the gas inlet and outlet dome (14).

    摘要: A cover belt for a duct is presented, which can be swung up from a closed position by a deflecting device movable in the longitudinal direction of the duct and falls back in its closed position behind the deflecting device. The cover belt is made of a flexibly deformable material with metallic reinforcements. The cover belt is comprised of a securing strip, a joint strip and a cover strip. The securing strip is secured along the duct, the joint strip connects the securing strip flexibly to the cover strip, and the cover strip spans the duct and is supported on both sides of the duct. At least one belt-shaped textile reinforcement layer with essentially the same overall width as the cover belt is embedded in the flexibly deformable material in the area of the neutral plane of the cover belt. First oblong elements of the metallic reinforcement are arranged between the underside of the cover belt and the textile reinforcements so as to extend essentially at right angles to the longitudinal direction over the full width of the cover belt.

    摘要: The gas-cleaning apparatus for a blast furnace operating under pressure using a differential-pressure washing arrangement whereby the differential-pressure washer comprises at least one annular gap with an annular-gap passage and an axially adjustable body received in the annular gap washer. The nozzle is disposed upstream of the annular-gap washer to spray the washing liquid into the gas which is accelerated through the annular gap. The position of this body is controlled in response to the gas pressure within the head of the blast furnace. The annular gap of the washer diverges in the direction of flow of the gas and the body has a complementary shape so that the gap width remains generally constant although its flow cross section increases with the diameter of the annular gap in the direction of flow of the gas.
