    摘要: An exhaust stream buffering system is described to temper a temperature profile and reduce a particulate load to permit heat recovery and cleaning. The buffering system may reduce the volatile temperature profile to even the temperature spikes, and produce a more even cyclical temperature profile. When used in steel making facilities, the buffered stream may also be augmented by blast furnace gases to provide additional energy for a heat recovery system.

    摘要: A conventional dust-catcher for blast furnace gas comprises a pressure vessel, with a gas inlet and outlet dome (14), a separation chamber (16) and a lower dust hopper (18), and a diffuser pipe (26) extending axially through the gas inlet and outlet dome (14) into the separation chamber (16). To increase the separation efficiency of such a dust hopper (18), it is proposed to centrally arrange a flow deflecting chamber (50, 50′), having a smaller cross-section than the separation chamber (16), in the separation chamber (16), so that there remains an annular settlement chamber (52) between the inner wall of the separation chamber (16). The diffuser pipe (26) is connected to this flow deflecting chamber (50, 50′) so as to axially discharge a downward gas flow into the top end of the flow deflecting chamber (50, 50′), wherein this downward gas flow is deflected upward. An annular swirling device (58) with guide vanes (60) is arranged in the top end of the flow deflecting chamber (50, 50′) around the lower end of the diffuser pipe (26) and acts as outlet opening for the gas flow into the into the pressure vessel of the dust-catcher. The guide vanes (60) form a vortex gas flow rising around the diffuser pipe (26) upward into the gas inlet and outlet dome (14).

    摘要: The preliminary cleaning stage for a dust extraction installation for blast furnace gas is comprised of a large-sized cyclone which comprises a vertical pressurized tank. A gas furnace gas line arriving from the blast furnace is connected to an axial delivery device situated at the upper end of the pressurized tank. The delivery device is configured such that it introduces the blast furnace gas into the pressurized tank in an axial direction. A swirl device with guide vanes is positioned below the axial delivery device and causes the blast furnace gas which is axially introduced into the pressurized tank to swirl about the axis of the pressurized tank.

    摘要: Large amounts of industrial wastes are drawn by high vacuum into a scrubber and separator unit at the entrance of which the bulk wastes are flooded with water and reduced to slurry form. In the separator, the slurry is centrifugally spun and separated from the entraining air and delivered by gravity into a slurry tank from which the slurry is pumped to a remote disposal site. The air passes from the separator to a surge chamber where the air is spun and expanded and ridded of entrained moisture. The dry air in a clean state after passing serially through the vacuum producer and a silencer is expelled to the atmosphere. The equipment can be mounted on a vehicular base. The apparatus can operate to continuously and simultaneously remove and dispose of industrial wastes.
