摘要: A method and apparatus for receiving a broadcasting signal for a real-time broadcasting service and a non-real-time broadcasting service are disclosed. The apparatus for receiving the broadcasting signal includes a receiving unit, a storage medium, a first processor and a second processor. The receiving unit receives and displays a broadcasting service in real-time. The first processor receives and decodes non-real-time content based on reception time information and identification information included in first signaling information, and stores the decoded non-real-time content in the storage medium. The second processor reads and presents the non-real-time content from the storage medium based on presentation time information and the identification information included in second signaling information, and displays the broadcasting service in real-time.

摘要: To provide, in a multi-user environment, a multimedia data transmitting apparatus which prevents a content for which playing is paused by a user from being deleted by another user, and allows playing to be resumed. The multimedia data transmitting apparatus includes: a content managing unit which holds a content and an attribute thereof; and a judging unit which judges, when deletion of the content is requested, whether or not deletion is possible for the content, based on the attribute. The judging unit judges that deletion is possible when the attribute does not indicate either “currently played” or “playing paused”, and to judge that the deletion is not possible when the attribute indicates “currently played” or “playing paused”, and the content managing unit deletes the content when said judging unit judges that deletion is possible.

摘要: A broadcast system BS includes a broadcast apparatus 1 and a reception apparatus 2. The broadcast apparatus 1 first receives and stores therein a proxy request PR including at least an identifier assigned to the reception apparatus 2 and a command to be transmitted to the reception apparatus 2. Moreover, the broadcast apparatus 1 extracts the set of the identifier of the reception apparatus 2 and the command for the reception apparatus 2 from the proxy request PR stored therein, and assembles a command packet from the set of the identifier and the command. Then, the broadcast apparatus 1 generates a stream in which the assembled command packet is multiplexed, and sends it out to a broadcast channel. The reception apparatus 2 separates the command packet from the stream sent out to the broadcast channel, and restores the set of the identifier and the command of the reception apparatus 2. Then, the reception apparatus 2 determines whether or not the disassembled command is destined for the present reception apparatus based on the pre-stored identifier of the present reception apparatus and the disassembled identifier of the reception apparatus 2. If so, the reception apparatus 2 stores therein the command destined for the present reception apparatus. The reception apparatus 2 executes the command, which has bee stored as described above.

摘要: The invention includes a method and system for serving data on broadcast media that uses low-level data objects to reduce repetition of common data, that uses indirect naming and machine-readable names to provide easy access to a large part of the broadcast spectrum, and that obtains a data object in a single cycle with no loss, or in two cycles with moderate loss. A user can request a desired data object, such as a web page, which comprises one or more low-level objects. The bandwidth used for each low-level object can be separately set. Two desired data objects can include the same low-level object. The method allows the content creator flexibility in assigning bandwidth used and response time for specific request objects and is easy to implement. Objects can be broadcast across alternate protocols. A dynamic list of desired data objects (the “First-level Name Table”) is maintained that references the low-level objects that compose them.
