摘要: An engine system includes an engine duct and a tail cone arranged radially inwardly of the engine duct. The tail cone has an outer surface and an inner surface. A generator housing is arranged in the tail cone. The generator housing includes an outer surface portion spaced from the inner surface of the tail cone. A generator is mounted in the generator housing. An air duct extends from the generator, through the generator housing, through the tail cone, and through the engine duct. The air duct includes an opening exposed to an air stream passing over the engine duct.

摘要: Methods and apparatus for accelerating an aircraft fuselage boundary layer via a fan powered by an APU of the aircraft are disclosed. An example aircraft includes a fuselage, an APU, and a fan. The fuselage includes an outer skin. The APU is located within the fuselage. The fan includes a plurality of fan blades arranged circumferentially about the APU and projecting radially outward from the outer skin. The fan further includes a fan drive operatively coupled to the APU. The fan drive is configured to rotate the fan blades in response to a supply of electrical energy provided to the fan drive from the APU. The rotation of the fan blades accelerates a fuselage boundary layer traveling rearward along the outer skin from a first velocity to a second velocity greater than the first velocity.

A plurality of electric grids, coils, or super conducting slats may be installed on automobiles, aircraft, spacecraft, and onto the blades of a wind powered electrical generating system to produce electric power when the blades are in motion.

摘要: An oxygen supply apparatus and method for a fuel cell of an aircraft are provided. The oxygen supply apparatus includes a compressor that generates compressed air by compressing air in the atmosphere and supplies the compressed air to a fuel cell stack, an oxygen tank having a predetermined amount of oxygen stored therein. An aircraft monitoring device monitors the aircraft and determines whether oxygen supply from the oxygen tank is required, and an oxygen supply means switching device switches an oxygen supply means for the fuel cell stack from the compressor to the oxygen tank, or vice versa depending on an outcome of the monitoring.

摘要: A conductor shielding termination assembly can include a housing tube defining an inner diameter housing channel therethrough. The housing tube can be made of conductive material. The assembly can include a shoulder bushing configured to insert within the inner diameter housing channel of the housing tube. The shoulder bushing can define an inner diameter bushing channel sized to receive an unshielded portion of a conductor. The assembly can include a clamping assembly configured to clamp around the housing tube and/or the conductor to axially lock the housing tube and the conductor and to trap a shielding termination between the housing tube and the clamping assembly. The clamping assembly can form a clamping inner diameter channel sized to receive a shielded portion of the conductor.

摘要: An aircraft hydraulic control system includes a pump system, a fluid circuit, and a controller. The pump system includes a hydraulic pump and a ram air turbine assembly. The fluid circuit delivers hydraulic fluid to the hydraulic pump and receives the hydraulic fluid output from the hydraulic pump. The controller is in signal communication with the hydraulic pump. The controller determines a rotational frequency of a ram air turbine included in the ram air turbine assembly, and controls the hydraulic pump so as to control the flow of hydraulic fluid in the fluid circuit. The flow of hydraulic fluid in the fluid circuit controls a fluid pressure of the aircraft.
