摘要: Apparatus comprising a floating platform, a cylinder connected thereto, and a piston having a piston rod connected to a mooring at the sea floor. At least one penstock tube is in fluid connection at its lower end with a lower portion of the cylinder, below the piston. The penstock tube being provided along the cylinder and has an opening at the upper end arranged so that water pumped upwards in the at least one penstock tube will hit a water turbine arranged above the cylinder. The water turbine being in connection with a generator. The cylinder has an opening in an upper portion and in the lower portion thereof, provided with a one-way valve allowing water into the lower portion of the cylinder while the cylinder moves downwards, and when the platform rises, water will be refilled in the upper section through the opening.

摘要: A floating structure is described. The floating structure includes a floating platform disposed at a water surface, a mooring system and a dumping system. The mooring system is configured for mooring one side of the floating platform to a sea floor, thereby to permit rotation of the floating structure and to provide a desired orientation down-wind with respect to an anchor point. The dumping system is arranged at one side of the floating platform and is configured for absorbing wave energy and stresses imparted by the motion of waves in order to stabilize a horizontal position of the floating structure down-wind during a storm against the waves.

摘要: The active water hydroelectric system uses a hydraulic ram pump to increase pressure to turbine blades using water from a low head water source, the system comprising a housing, drive pipe, delivery pipe, pressure vessel, turbine, waterwheel, and first and second generators. The drive pipe is fluidly coupled to the low head water source and pressure vessel. A primary flow moves across a turbine turning a first generator. Primary and secondary flows turn the waterwheel which turns the second generator. The passive hydroelectric system a floatation device such as a ship or barge. A vertical siphon pipe and vector siphon pipe comprise a siphon mechanism that delivers water to the hydraulic ram pump. A primary flow of water flows from the pump to a drive pipe to the turbine. Primary and secondary flows of water turn the waterwheel. Water exits through an exit pipe.

摘要: A potable water producing system for disposition at a salt water body and methods of producing potable water are provided. The system includes a wave energy conversion system (AWECS) and a portable filtration system. The AWECS forms a floating articulated barge having an onboard desalination system including reverse osmosis membranes. The filtration system is a sand filter residing on a damping plate submerged in the salt water body and filters the adjacent salt water for providing filtered salt water to the onboard desalination system. Wave action on the articulated barge provides energy to pump and pressurize the filtered salt water from the sand filter to the reverse osmosis membranes to produce potable water. The wave action on the articulated barge effects shaking of the reverse osmosis membranes, thereby rendering them self-cleaning. The potable water can be used for various applications, e.g., bottling, replenishing aquifers, ground and/or aquifer remediation, irrigation, etc.

摘要: A hydraulic transmission comprising a variable displacement pump and motor, at least one having cylinders having valves which are controllable on each cycle of cylinder working volume to determine the net displacement of working fluid by the cylinder. The transmission has a valve control module which determines a displacement of the pump and the motor by specifying a displacement demand. The pump and/or motor valve control module determine the frequency of intensity peaks in the frequency spectrum of the pattern of cylinders carrying out active and inactive cycles of cylinder working volume using a first procedure and, if these will fall within disallowed frequency bands including the resonant frequency of components with which the transmission is in mechanical communication, the displacement demand, or another input, is periodically modified to suppress generation of those frequencies. The hydraulic transmission is useful for example in a wind turbine generator, or a vehicle.

摘要: An assembly for converting linear and rotational motions of a floating vessel into electrical energy. The assembly provides a floating vessel, such as a boat, and an operationally connected power generation unit that harnesses the natural buoyant movements of the vessel to generate electrical energy in the power generation unit for use by the vessel or other electrical consumption system. As the vessel moves in linear and rotational movements, the power generation unit reciprocally pivots. This pivoting motion urges a push rod in and out of the power generation unit. A piston extends from the push rod. A reservoir feeds hydraulic fluids through a closed loop system. The piston urges the hydraulic fluid into a hydraulic motor that creates a mechanical action. A generator converts the mechanical action to electrical energy. A platform pivots between a table position and a step position to provide greater functionality of the vessel.

摘要: An energy storage and regeneration system that converts irregular, non-constant, and variable input power to regular, constant, and controlled output power using hydraulics whereby the irregular input power is used to pump hydraulic fluid into an accumulator array where it is stored pressurized. Energy is released in a controlled fashion using a hydraulic motor operated by the pressurized hydraulic fluid from the accumulator array, in accordance with the specified power demand. One or more power units may be deployed depending on the amount of energy required at the output. Each power unit includes a hydraulic motor and associated floating accumulator whose internal pressure is controlled to maintain a substantially constant pressure differential across its associated motor. The system can be integrated into various energy system sources including renewable energy such as wind, PV or thermal solar, wave, tidal, etc.
