    摘要: A crane includes a crane pillar rotatably mounted about a vertical axis, at least one jib, connected to the crane pillar and pivotally mounted about a horizontal axis, at least one jib extension movably mounted in the jib, and at least one piston-cylinder unit for extending and retracting the jib extension relative to the jib. The first end of the piston-cylinder unit engages the jib via at least one first force-introducing region, and the second end engages the at least one jib extension via at least one second force-introducing region. The piston-cylinder unit has a central plane parallel to the horizontal axis about which the jib is pivotally mounted, and the piston-cylinder unit has a compressive deformation perpendicular to the central plane in a pressure-loaded state while the jib is being extended and a tensile deformation opposite the compressive deformation in a tension-loaded state while the jib is being retracted.

    摘要: A crane assembly includes an anti-two block system having a rigid body, a sensor configured to detect upward loading of the body, and a spring biasing the body to a pin of a sheave. The body includes a base, two extensions projecting perpendicularly upward from the base and extending outside the sheave on opposite sides thereof, and a fitting on upper ends of the extensions. The fitting couples to the pin of the sheave such that the body is configured to rotate about the pin. The crane assembly further includes a controller comprising logic configured to prevent movement of a hook in response to a signal from the sensor of the anti-two block system. The weight of the body of the anti-two block system rotates the body such that the extensions are substantially aligned with a cable between an end of a boom and a hook as the boom rotates.

    摘要: A proportionally extendable multi section boom crane is provided with an automatically erectable mast pivotally carried by one of the boom sections. The mast, which has a secondary sheave on the outer end thereof, normally rests in a stowed position adjacent the boom section on which it is mounted. The load line of the crane extending from the winch at the base of the boom section is trained over the secondary sheave, as well as sheave structure on the outermost end of the outer boom section. Elongated rod structure carried by one of the extendable boom sections outwardly of the crane has coupling means thereon engageable with the mast to initiate erection thereof after the proportionally movable boom sections have been extended a predetermined extent, normally after about 50% extension thereof. Passage of the load line over the mast in an erected position causes bending forces imposed on the extended boom by a weight suspended from the outermost end of the load line produces forces in opposition to the bending moment on the boom sufficient to prevent significant deleterious deflection of the boom from the longitudinal axis thereof.
