摘要: In accordance with one or more embodiments, a communication device includes a dielectric antenna having a feed point and an aperture. A cable comprising a conductorless core is coupled to the feed point of the dielectric antenna. A transmitter is coupled to the cable and facilitates a transmission of first electromagnetic waves to the feed point of the dielectric antenna. The first electromagnetic waves are guided by the conductorless core and propagate along the conductorless core without requiring an electrical return path, and the first electromagnetic waves generate free-space wireless signals from the aperture of the antenna in accordance with a circularly polarized antenna beam pattern.

摘要: Disclosed is a DC circuit breaker capable of interrupting fault currents flowing in both forward and backward directions. The DC circuit breaker includes: a mechanical switch installed on a DC transmission line and being opened to interrupt a current in the DC transmission line when a fault occurs at one side or remaining side thereof on the DC transmission line; a first bidirectional switching device connected in parallel with the mechanical switch and switching currents flowing in both forward and backward directions; an LC circuit connected in parallel with the mechanical switch and including a capacitor and a reactor connected in series to induce LC resonance; a first unidirectional switching device connected in parallel with the LC circuit and switching a current to induce LC resonance; and a second bidirectional switching device connected in series with the LC circuit and switching currents flowing in both forward and backward directions.

摘要: Various techniques are described to terminate a differential wire pair using combinations of CMCs, transformers, autotransformers, differential mode chokes (DMCs), and AC-coupling capacitors. The techniques improve the AC common mode insertion loss without attenuating the differential data signals, while easing the requirements of the CMC. In one example, an autotransformer, having a first winding, a second winding, and a center tap, is connected across a PHY, where the center tap provides a low impedance to ground for attenuating common mode noise. A CMC is coupled across the autotransformer and a pair of wires carrying differential data, where the CMC greatly attenuates common mode noise. The requirements of the CMC are reduced due to the autotransformer.

摘要: An example implementation involves a playback device receiving digital data representing audio content, the digital data encoded in a first format. The playback device causes one or more speaker drivers to playback the audio content. The playback device decodes a portion of the received digital data to convert the portion of the received digital data from the first format to a second format and transmits, via a network interface to a computing device of an identification system, the decoded portion of the received digital data. The playback device receives, from via the network interface from the identification system, metadata corresponding to the audio content, and in response, causes a control device to display a graphical representation of the received metadata, wherein causing the control device to display the graphical representation comprises sending, via the network interface to the control device, the received metadata to the control device.

摘要: The various embodiments provide a system for interconnecting a plurality of devices for budding automation systems. The system comprising on or more sensor units to transmit data along with a sensor device address an a network, one or more actuator units to receive the transmitted data, a monitoring unit to receive, monitor and record the transmitted data, a control unit to monitor functioning of devices on the network and transmit data to the actuators, a link unit to extend range of the network by retransmitting the signals received from one cable to other cables and an interface unit to convert signals to and from the network into a format of another communication protocol. The network comprises a plurality of devices connected to a single cable to communicate with other devices on the network by generating charge disturbances and detecting the charge disturbances propagated over the cable.

摘要: Methods and systems are provided for audio devices with enhanced directional operations. An audio device may generate an audio output; obtain information relating to a position of a listener and/or a location of at least a part of the listener's body; and configure the audio output and/or outputting of the audio output based on the position of a listener and/or the location of at least the part of the listener's body relative to the audio device. Configuring the audio output and/or the outputting the audio output may include optimizing directionality of outputting of the audio output based on a position of a listener and/or a location of at least part of the listener's body relative to the audio device. The position of the listener and/or the location of at least the part of the listener's body may be determined based on sensory data obtained from one or more sensors.
