    Abstract: Methods and systems of reducing a substrate noise in a charge pump having a flying capacitor are provided. An input node of the flying capacitor is pre-charged at a first slew rate. The input node of the flying capacitor is charged at a second slew rate that is faster than the first slew rate. The input node of the flying capacitor is pre-discharged at a third slew rate. The input node of the flying capacitor is discharged at a fourth slew rate that is faster than the first slew rate.

    Abstract: Methods and systems of controlling a switched capacitor converter are provided. Upon determining that a voltage across a flying capacitor is above a first threshold, a first current is drawn from a first terminal of the flying capacitor by a first current source, and a second current is provided to a second terminal of the flying capacitor by a second current source. Upon determining that the voltage across the flying capacitor is below a second threshold, the first current is provided to the first terminal of the flying capacitor by the first current source, and the second current is drawn from the second terminal of the flying capacitor by the second current source. Upon determining that the voltage across the flying capacitor is above the second threshold and below the first threshold from the reference voltage, the first and second current sources are turned OFF.

    Abstract: A component-on-package circuit may include a component for an electrical circuit and a circuit module attached to the component. The circuit module may have circuitry and at least one leadframe which connects the circuitry to the component both electrically and thermally. The leadframe may have a high degree of both electrical and thermal conductivity and a non-planar shape that provides spring-like cushioning of force applied to the component in the direction of the circuit module. A method of making a component-on-package circuit may include attaching a component for an electrical circuit to a circuit module. The circuit module may have circuitry and at least one leadframe which connects the circuitry to the component after the attachment both electrically and thermally. The leadframe may have a high degree of both electrical and thermal conductivity and a non-planar shape that provides a spring-like cushioning of force applied to the component in the direction of the circuit module. The circuit module may be encapsulated in molding material after the circuit module has been attached to the component, without encapsulation the component at the same time.

    Abstract: A notch filter is controlled synchronously with a chopper to filter out chopping ripple. In one embodiment, the notch filter is coupled to the differential output of the chopper and includes a sampling capacitor, a hold capacitor, and a second set of switches between the sampling capacitor and the hold capacitor. The second set of switches is temporarily closed once per chopper switching cycle to transfer charge from the sampling capacitor to the hold capacitor such that the ripple from the chopper is not transferred to the hold capacitor. The voltage across the hold capacitor may be coupled to any other circuit, such as to the differential inputs of an amplifier.

    Abstract: A network manager of a wireless mesh network is configured to selectively enable or disable communication services provided between devices over the network. The selective enabling or disabling of services may be based on the monitoring and enforcement of license terms set according to license information embedded within the wireless network node(s) or access point(s) of the network. In operation, the network manager retrieves the license information from the node(s) and/or access point(s) of the network, and establishes license terms based on the retrieved license information. In turn, the network manager selectively enables or disables network services, such as by throttling communications relayed between the user application and the nodes, or between nodes, if the license terms are not respected.

    Abstract: A novel system is offered for supplying power from an input node to a load coupled to an output node. The system may have multiple switches coupled between the input node and the output node. One or more limiting circuits may be configured for controlling the switches so as to limit outputs of the switches. For example, the limiting circuits may limit current through the respective switches. One or more timers may set a delay period for indicating a fault condition after the limiting is initiated.

    Abstract: Various techniques are described to terminate a differential wire pair using combinations of CMCs, transformers, autotransformers, differential mode chokes (DMCs), and AC-coupling capacitors. The techniques improve the AC common mode insertion loss without attenuating the differential data signals, while easing the requirements of the CMC. In one example, an autotransformer, having a first winding, a second winding, and a center tap, is connected across a PHY, where the center tap provides a low impedance to ground for attenuating common mode noise. A CMC is coupled across the autotransformer and a pair of wires carrying differential data, where the CMC greatly attenuates common mode noise. The requirements of the CMC are reduced due to the autotransformer.
