Abstract: In a liquid crystal display (LCD) device having a touch panel function, power consumption is reduced in the standby state. The display section is divided into blocks each of which is formed of a plurality of display lines. The counter electrode is disposed for each block. A driving circuit selectively supplies, to the counter electrode of each block, the voltage used for the liquid crystal display and the voltage used for the touch panel scanning. The driving circuit has a source amplifier that supplies the video voltages to the video lines. The driving circuit reduces the current in the source amplifier, such that the current is lower than current at the time of a normal operation, to lower the power consumption, and stops the operation of the source amplifier and supplies the GND voltage to the video lines to further lower the power consumption.

The control circuit is configured to sequentially output a gate drive signal to the pixels by an operation of the shift register circuit and the switching circuit in the display period, and sequentially output a sensor control signal to the photodiodes by an operation of the shift register circuit and the switching circuit in the detection period.

Abstract: According to an aspect, a light adjustment device includes: a panel unit in which a plurality of light adjustment panels are stacked in a first direction, the light adjustment panels each including a first substrate and a second substrate, the first substrate including at least two terminal groups each including a plurality of terminals that are capable of being coupled to one flexible printed circuit board, the second substrate overlapping with the first substrate; and a plurality of flexible printed circuit boards each of which is coupled to one of the terminal groups of a corresponding one of the light adjustment panels. Abstract: The purpose of the present invention is to obviate patterning defects of electrodes in through-holes formed in an organic passivation film for connection between TFTs and pixel electrodes in an ultra-high definition display device. To achieve the foregoing, the present invention has a configuration such as the following. This display device, in which a TFT (thin-film transistor) is formed on a substrate, an organic passivation film is formed covering the TFT, and a first pixel electrode, a first common electrode, a second pixel electrode, and a second common electrode are formed on the organic passivation film, is characterized in that the first pixel electrode is connected to the TFT via a through-hole formed in the organic passivation film, the through-hole is filled with a filler, and an end of the second pixel electrode is present on the upper side of the filler.

Abstract: A display device with a sensor in which deterioration of display quality is suppressed even when sensor wires are superimposed on respective slits of detection electrodes disposed side by side. The display device includes detection electrodes, sensor wires, pixels, scanning lines, and signal lines on a first insulating substrate. The detection electrodes are arrayed in a matrix in first and second directions. The sensor wires and signal lines are disposed alternately in the first direction and provided on the same layer. Switching elements of two of the pixels disposed side by side in the first direction each are coupled to one of the signal lines, and the signal line is superimposed on the corresponding detection electrode that straddles the two pixels. The sensor wires are disposed between the two pixels disposed side by side and superimposed on the respective slits of the two detection electrodes disposed side by side.
