摘要: The disclosed systems and methods join a user to a primary communication channel that is associated with an automated human interface module. The automated human interface module includes a plurality of nodes. A message including a text communication is posted by the user and sent to a decision module associated with a plurality of classifiers. The decision module is configured to identify a node that best matches the text communication in accordance with the plurality of classifiers. Each respective classifier produces a respective classifier result thereby producing a plurality of classifier results. Each respective classifier result identifies a respective node of the plurality of nodes best matching the text communication. The plurality of classifier results is collectively considered, and the node best matching the text communication is identified and the text communication is sent to the identified node.

摘要: The presentation invention relates to methods and apparatus for managing cable network power consumption. An exemplary method in accordance with one embodiment includes the steps of: receiving a message by a cable modem instructing the cable modem to reduce power consumption; increasing, by the cable modem, a buffer size of at least one of: (i) a cable modem downlink buffer included in the cable modem, or (ii) a cable modem uplink buffer included in the cable modem in response to receiving the message; and switching, by the cable modem, from a first mode of operation to a second mode of operation after performing one or both of: (i) transmitting uplink data to the cable modem termination system, and (ii) transmitting downlink data to a wireless base station, said second mode of operation being a power savings modem of operation.

A power management component in a system may be configured to manage power use in the system based on measurements associated with a signal path used for communication by the system via a communication port, wherein the managing includes. Managing the power use may include determining, based on the measurements, connectivity related information associated with connectivity of the system via the communication port; applying, based on the connectivity related information, one or more power use reduction measures, wherein the one or more power use reduction measures include transitioning between different power related states; and monitoring one or more conditions to determine when to stop, undo, or reverse at least one of the one or more power use reduction measures.

摘要: Examples of systems and methods for network proxy server for energy efficient video streaming on mobile devices are generally described herein. A proxy server to deliver video content may include a communication module to intercept a request for video content from a mobile device, the request for video content intended for a content server and forward a modified request for the video content to the content server. The communication module may receive the video content from the content server and transfer a portion of the video content to the mobile device using a multipath transport protocol.

摘要: The timing of the synchronous interface is controlled by a clock signal driven by a controller. The clock is toggled in order to send a command to a memory device via the interface. If there are no additional commands to be sent via the interface, the controller suspends the clock signal. When the memory device is ready, the memory device drives a signal back to the controller. The timing of this signal is not dependent upon the clock signal. Receipt of this signal by the controller indicates that the memory device is ready and the clock signal should be resumed so that a status of the command can be returned via the interface, or another command issued via the interface.

摘要: A power over Ethernet (PoE) power supplying method where power sourcing equipment (PSE) and a powered device exchange link layer discovery protocol data units (LLDPDUs). Each of the LLDPDUs includes two power values. Each of the power values indicates requested or allocated power for one of two sets of cable pairs of the Ethernet twisted pair connecting the PSE and the powered device. Accordingly, the supplied powers to the powered device at sets of cable pairs are independent from each other.

摘要: In an electronic device capable of running multiple software applications concurrently, applications, documents, cards, or other activities can be selected for hibernation so as to free up system resources for other activities that are in active use. A determination is made as to which activities should hibernate, for example based on a determination as to which activities have not been used recently or based on relative resource usage. When an activity is to hibernate, its state is preserved on a storage medium such as a disk, so that the activity can later be revived in the same state and the user can continue with the same task that was being performed before the activity entered hibernation.
