    摘要: A decoding method includes: obtaining a plurality of quantization parameter sets from a header of a coded stream; parsing an identifier from a header of a coded picture included in the coded stream; selecting at least one quantization parameter set from among the plurality of quantization parameter sets, based on the parsed identifier; determining whether a flag parsed from the header of the coded picture has a predetermined value; generating a new quantization matrix from another quantization matrix when the flag has the predetermined value; decoding the coded picture by inversely quantizing the coded picture using the generated new quantization matrix; and decoding the coded picture by inversely quantizing the coded picture using a quantization matrix included in the selected quantization parameter set when the flag does not have the predetermined value.

The method includes a first parameter calculation step of calculating a first parameter corresponding to a distance between the current picture and a first reference picture; a second parameter calculation step of calculating a second parameter corresponding to a distance between the first reference picture and a second reference picture; a judgment step of judging whether or not a value of a third parameter calculated using a value obtained by dividing the first parameter by the second parameter is a value which is represented by a plurality of bits; a predictive pixel value generation step of generating a predictive pixel value of the current picture; and a decoding step of decoding the current picture using the predictive pixel value.

    摘要: A video coding apparatus is provided to reduce pulsing artifacts. The video coding apparatus includes a correlation calculation unit calculating a correlation value indicating a correlation degree of correlation between: a first block; and a second block or a third block. The first block includes pixels included in a first original picture in an original picture sequence of original pictures, the second block includes pixels included in a second original picture which precedes the first original picture, and the third block is obtained by coding and reconstructing the second block. The video coding apparatus also includes a correlation judgment unit judging whether the correlation value exceeds a first threshold, and judging that the correlation is high when the correlation value exceeds the first threshold, and includes a blending unit blending the first block and the third block when the correlation judgment unit judges that the correlation is high.

    摘要: An image coding method decodes a coded stream which is generated by inter prediction coding a moving picture and includes processing units and a header of such units, the processing units including at least one processing unit divided in a hierarchy, the hierarchy including: a highest hierarchical layer in which a coding unit is a largest processing unit; and a lower hierarchical layer in which a prediction unit exists. The method comprises: identifying, by parsing hierarchy depth information stored in the header and indicating a hierarchical layer higher than a lowest hierarchical layer in which a smallest prediction unit exits, a hierarchical layer which is indicated by the hierarchy depth information or a hierarchical layer higher than the indicated hierarchical layer, the hierarchical layer having a prediction unit that stores an adaptive motion vector resolution switch flag necessary for decoding; and decoding the prediction unit, using the flag.
