A lancet device for generating a puncture wound in a skin surface, comprising a housing, in which a lancet can be moved on a puncturing path, a lancet drive with a drive rotor that can be driven by a drive spring, a lancet coupling mechanism that transforms a rotational motion of the drive rotor into a puncturing and returning motion of the lancet during a working cycle of the lancet drive, a reference element that is mobile relative to the lancet and relative to the housing and is fixed in a defined position relative to the lancet drive during the puncturing and rests against the surface of the skin with a contact surface thereof such that a puncture wound with a reproducible puncturing depth is generated by the puncturing motion, and a reference element coupling mechanism that is coupled to the lancet drive in order to move the reference element. The invention further relates to a suitable lancet drive assembly for a lancet device of this type.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for creating a puncture wound for obtaining a sample of a body fluid from a body part in which a skin opening is created at a puncture site in the epidermis in a skin-opening step. Then, in a sample collection step a sample collection puncture is executed by using a puncture element with which the skin opening is deepened with the puncture element, thereby creating a puncture wound for obtaining the sample. The invention also relates to a handheld apparatus for implementing this method.

A replaceable magazine for use in an analytic test instrument a plurality of analytic aids on a carrier tape. The analytic aids can be made available in an application position of the magazine by means of the carrier tape. The magazine has a supply reel for holding regions of the carrier tape with unused analytic aids and a take-up reel for holding regions of the carrier tape with used-up analytic aids. The carrier tape can be moved in a spooling direction from the supply reel to the take-up reel. The magazine has a rewind lock of the take-up reel. The magazine has a tape release device, which is configured to make available a take-up reel tape reserve of the carrier tape on the side of the application position facing the take-up reel. The take-up reel tape reserve enables a lifting movement of an analytic aid situated in the application position.

The present invention provides a puncturing system for withdrawing body fluid. The puncturing system comprises a disposable puncturing unit, which includes a needle element for piercing into skin and a puncturing depth reference element with a skin contact area. The system includes a puncturing instrument which has a puncturing drive, wherein the puncturing drive is coupled by a coupling mechanism to the puncturing unit for driving the needle element to a puncturing depth, the puncturing depth being determined by the distance in the piercing direction between the skin contact area and the position of the tip of the needle at a reversal point of the puncturing movement. The puncturing depth reference element is connected to the needle element such that the puncturing depth reference element moves with the needle element during at least part of the puncturing movement. The puncturing depth reference element has a defined longitudinal position in the piercing direction relative to the needle element at least at the reversal point of the puncturing movement.

A method for producing an analytical magazine is proposed. The analytical magazine is designed to receive a plurality of analytical aids in a plurality of chambers. The method comprises the following steps: providing at least one first component of the analytical magazine, wherein the first component comprises a plurality of receptacles; providing a plurality of analytical aids, wherein the analytical aids are connected to one another and preferably oriented with respect to one another by at least one holding element; introducing the analytical aids into the receptacles; and separating the analytical aids from the holding element.
Abstract:
A diagnostic test tape for liquid samples is provided comprising a flexible transport tape and a plurality of test fields applied to the transport tape that are distributed in the longitudinal direction of the tape, where said test fields comprise a detection layer and a spreading net spanning the detection layer for a planar uptake of liquid sample, wherein the spreading net is formed from a lattice-like fabric comprising fabric threads that cross at right angles. In order to prevent the fabric from arching up under tape tension it is proposed that the fabric is oriented obliquely to the transport tape such that all fabric threads run obliquely to the longitudinal direction of the tape.
Abstract:
A supply of lancets for a multi-use lancing device are carried by a tape and sequentially brought from a storage position to an activating position by advancing the tape around a bend. The lancets are non-circular in cross-section along their longitudinal lengths, and in their activating position they extend from the tape such that their sharp tips are available for lancing tissue. The carrying tape can be arranged in reel-to-reel format in a housing having a lancing opening. The lancets can be integral with the tape and activated to move the lancet through the lancing opening by moving the tape along its tape path or by translating a dedicated service loop of the tape. The lancets can also be independent from the tape and activated through the lancing opening by a separate lancing actuator. A test media can be included on the carrying tape and the housing can contain a sensor to yield an integrated lancing and testing device.

The invention concerns a test tape device for analyzing a body fluid having a carrier tape (36), a plurality of lancing elements (12) arranged on the carrier tape (36) which are provided with a tip (40) that can puncture a body part and a collecting structure (44) that takes up the body fluid obtained during the puncture, and test fields (14) mounted on the carrier tape (36) each being associated with a lancing element (12) and can have body fluid applied thereto. According to the invention it is proposed that the lancing elements (12) are each movably attached to the carrier tape (36) by a coupling member (38) and that a used lancing element (12) can be brought into contact with a test field (14) by a transfer movement from a usage position distant from a test field (14) into a contact position so that body fluid can be transferred from the collecting structure (44) onto the test field (14).

A test element magazine for a system for measuring the concentration of at least one constituent in a fluid sample is provided. The test element magazine comprises at least one test element in at least one chamber. The chamber is individually sealed by a sealing element. The test element comprises at least one active portion for contacting a skin portion of a patient and/or for contacting a fluid sample, wherein the test element further comprises at least one support body, wherein the support body is adapted for being engaged by an actuator. By a forward movement of the test element the support body of the test element applies a force to the sealing element, thereby forcing open the sealing of the chamber.
