Abstract:
A method for negotiations between various entities of a wireless local area network (WLAN) including negotiations between controlling nodes (CNs) and wireless access points (WAPs) and negotiations between WAPs is disclosed. These negotiations are used for the purpose of establishing the capabilities of the various entities, determining how such capabilities may be optimally divided among the negotiating entities and then dividing the capabilities among the entities based on this determination. The capabilities include those required for the operation, control and management of the WLAN entities and the encompassing WLAN. The disclosed method introduces means for flexibly accommodating the varying degrees of differences in capabilities among the WLAN entities between the WLAN entities including dynamic changes in WLAN topologies.
Abstract:
A wire-saving optical encoder having servomotor identification information is applied to a wire-saving transmission design to provide a circuit and a method for processing servomotor identification information and encoded feedback control signals. With a microprocessor, a multiplexer and the servomotor identification information stored in the microprocessor, an output device and a driver for the feedback signals of the encoder constitute a wire-saving signal transmitting circuit. The microprocessor and multiplexer switch a signal transmission mode to transmit the servomotor identification information and phase change signal produced by the servomotor control parameters stored in a firmware by a serial output mode, and the same transmitting wire is used to transmit a rotor operating signal after the transmitting mode is switched, so as to save wires and lower costs for transmitting feedback signals and correctly identifying and effectively controlling a servomotor.
Abstract:
A locking device used for locking a heat sink to an electronic device, includes two clips each having a clamping portion. The clamping portion of each has a first pressing portion, a second pressing portion spaced from and in alignment with the first pressing portion, and a catch depending between the first and second pressing portions. An operating portion extends from the second pressing portion of the clamping portion. The retention module includes a bottom with an opening defined therein, and two pairs of first and second clasps extending from the bottom for locking the two clips. When the retention module and the clips are in a locked position, the catches of the clips engage with the first clasps of the retention module, the operating portions engage with the second clasps of the retention module.
Abstract:
A improved interface joint structure applied as a buffer between a device and an equipment when the device is assembled to the equipment, comprises: a ring used between the device and the equipment having a first surface contacting the equipment and a second surface contacting the device, and a first ring rib located at the peripheral of the first surface; and a second ring rib located at the peripheral of the device that contacts the second surface. When the device and the equipment are screwed together, the improved interface joint structure is formed through compression of the first ring rib on the equipment and compression of the second ring rib on the second surface of the ring.
Abstract:
A method is provided for forming a short and sharp gate bird's beak in order to increase the erase speed of a split-gate flash memory. This is accomplished in two embodiments where in the first, fluorine is implanted in the first polysilicon layer to form the floating gate. It is disclosed here that the implanting of fluorine increases the oxidation rate of the polysilicon and because of the faster oxidation, the polygate bird's beak that is formed attains a relatively short and sharp in comparison with conventional beaks. This has the attendant benefit of forming a relatively small memory cell, and the concomitant reduction in the erase speed of the cell. In the second embodiment, oxygen is used with the same favorable results. A third embodiment discloses the structure of a split-gate flash memory cell having a sharp bird's beak.
Abstract:
The invention is based on new methods for making and using compounds and arrays of novel &agr;-ketoamides, and the arrays and compounds made by these methods. These novel compounds are potential inhibitors of proteolytic enzymes, particularly cysteine proteases such as cruzain. Application of the new methods has led to the identification of a number of new inhibitors, from amongst an array of about 38,000 &agr;-ketoamide derivatives, having specific activity against three cysteine proteases: cruzain, papain, and cathepsin B. These compounds and other compounds identified by the methods described herein can be useful, for example, in developing pharmaceutical agents for the treatment of diseases (e.g., Chagas' disease) associated with these proteases. Although the disclosed compounds have specific activity for cruzain, papain, cathepsin B, the methods described herein can also be used to identify inhibitors of other proteases.

This is accomplished in two embodiments where in the first, fluorine is implanted in the first polysilicon layer to form the floating gate. It is disclosed here that the implanting of fluorine increases the oxidation rate of the polysilicon and because of the faster oxidation, the polygate bird's beak (GBB) that is formed attains a relatively short and sharp shape in comparison with conventional beaks. This has the attendant benefit of forming a relatively small memory cell, and the concomitant increase in the erase speed of the cell. In the second embodiment, oxygen is used with the same favorable results. A third embodiment discloses the structure of a split-gate flash memory cell having a sharp bird's beak.
Abstract:
This disclosure provides systems, devices, apparatus, and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for protocol stacks and bearer modeling for assisted Uu connectivity. A UE and a PN may each establish a first connection with an AN and, based on the first connections with the AN, establish a second connection with each other. Based on a bearer configuration, the UE may determine whether to route data to the PN via the first connection with the AN or directly to the PN via the second connection with the PN. Accordingly, the UE may transmit the data to at least one of the AN or the PN based on the determination of whether to route the data to the PN via the first connection with the AN or directly to the PN via the second connection with the PN.
Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for licensed wireless in-vehicle network access based on emergency network access control. A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) generally includes detecting a trigger event for an emergency network access procedure. The method also includes, in response to detecting the trigger event, transmitting a first message to a base station, the first message comprising a request to use one or more licensed bands for communication via a wireless in-vehicle network (wIVN). The method also includes receiving a second message from the base station, the second message granting the use of the one or more licensed bands for communication via the wIVN.
