摘要: An apparatus for driving an LED is provided. The driving apparatus may have an LED unit including at least one LED, and a current controlling unit for controlling the magnitude of current flowing through the LED unit in response to a control signal. The LED driving apparatus may include a voltage detecting unit for detecting a voltage across the LED unit and a control signal blocking unit for comparing the voltage detected by the voltage detecting unit with a reference voltage. The control signal blocking part prevents the control signal from being applied to the current controlling unit when the detected voltage is lower than the reference voltage. With this configuration, the LED driving apparatus is capable of preventing a circuit from being damaged by overcurrent by cutting off a control signal when a determined number or more of LEDs are short-circuited or otherwise not operational.

摘要: There is provided a method of forming an isolation layer which prevents a failure from occurring depending on a difference in the area of the isolation layer during a planarization process of the isolation layer having a shallow trench isolation (STI) structure. The present invention implements a uniform isolation layer by forming a chemical mechanical polishing (CMP) stop layer on an isolation layer having a relatively large region and performing a planarization process using the CMP stop layer. In accordance with an embodiment of the present invention, an isolation layer is completed by: forming a buffer insulating layer on a silicon substrate and patterning the buffer insulating layer; selectively etching the silicon substrate and forming trenches including a relatively big region and a relatively narrow region; depositing a first insulating layer and a second insulating layer sequentially on a whole surface of the silicon substrate; selectively removing the second insulating layer and forming a chemical mechanical polishing (CMP) stop layer only on the relatively large trench region; planarizing the first insulating layer using the CMP stop layer; and removing all of the CMP stop layer and the buffer insulating layer and completing an isolation layer.

摘要: A method is provided for self-calibrating the mismatch and the direct current (DC) offset occurring in a mobile transceiver. The transmitter of the mobile terminal is used as a signal generator and the receiver thereof is used as a response characteristic measurer. The baseband processor calibrates the mismatch and the DC offset for the receiving and transmitting sides using a test signal received from the transmitter. When multiple input subcarriers are used in a mixer present on a reception stage, self-calibration is performed using multiple received test signals obtained from one transmission test signal.

摘要: A method for transferring variable isochronous data and an apparatus therefor are provided. The method for transferring variable isochronous data includes the steps of (a) determining isochronous transfer to be terminated when the bus is in an idle state for a time interval which is larger than an isochronous gap period, (b) detecting a residual gap having a time interval which is larger than the time interval of an isochronous gap and smaller than the time interval of a subaction gap, (c) checking whether bandwidth for the transfer of isochronous data remains when the residual gap is detected in the step (b), and (d) transferring the isochronous data when it is determined that the bandwidth remains in the step (c). According to the variable isochronous data transfer method, it is possible to maximize the isochronous transfer by selectively using the residual bandwidth, which is assigned for the transfer of the isochronous data but is not used for the real transfer of the isochronous data, for the transfer of the isochronous data.
