    摘要: An injection locked frequency divider is disclosed. The injection-locked frequency divider includes a sub-harmonic injection-locked oscillator, a reference clock divider, a counter, and a variable load resistor control unit. The sub-harmonic injection-locked oscillator has variable load resistors that are adjusted in response to a resistance adjustment signal, and, when oscillation frequency determined based on the magnitudes of the variable load resistors is a sub-harmonic of an injection signal, outputs signals having the oscillation frequency as divided output signals. The reference clock divider generates a count-enable signal from a reference clock signal according to a reference division ratio. The counter generates divided output count signals based on the divided output signals in response to the count-enable signal. The variable load resistor control unit compares target count values, determined based on the target frequencies of the divided output signals, with the divided output count signals, and outputs the resistance adjustment signal.

Both taps are connected to each other by at least one of a first capacity and a micro-strip line. The differential output comprises a first and a second output terminal. The first output terminal is connected via the first output circuit to a first node. The second output terminal is connected via the second output circuit to a second node. Each of the first and second nodes of the push-push oscillator is a common node of both of the first and the second branches.

    摘要: The present invention resides in a push-push voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) utilizing parallel LC resonant tank circuits for improved phase noise characteristics. The push-push VCO of the present invention includes two voltage controlled oscillators connected in parallel and in phase opposition, with each oscillator including a transistor connected in series with the parallel LC resonant tank circuit. The oscillators operate at the same resonant frequency f.sub.0, but are 180 degrees out of phase. Therefore, the fundamental and odd harmonics of the resonant frequency f.sub.0 cancel each other out and the even harmonics add together to produce an output signal at twice the resonant frequency f.sub.0.

    摘要: A multimode oscillator is disclosed which employs a single gain feedback loop for exciting at least two modes of a resonator to cause the oscillator to oscillate simultaneously at at least two frequencies. The multi-mode oscillator comprises the resonator, an amplifier to provide gain at the appropriate operating frequencies to support simultaneous oscillation at such frequencies and an equalizing network with amplitude and phase characteristics versus frequency to support the simultaneous modes of oscillation. The single loop oscillator permits separate control of the two simultaneous different frequencies of oscillation. In order to minimize thermal hysteresis, at least the active portion of the feedback loop does not include inductors. In some applications, the multimode oscillator may include one or more rejection networks to suppress unwanted oscillations. The useful outputs of the multimode oscillator are one or more of the operating frequencies, harmonics and intermodulation products. In one specific embodiment, one output is at the frequency of the fundamental C-mode resonance of an SC-cut lateral field quartz crystal, and a second output is at the beat frequency between the third harmonic of that fundamental and the third overtone. The beat frequency is a measurement of effects, such as temperature, upon the frequencies of operation of the oscillator.
