Abstract: Disclosed are a method and a device for inspection of drugs concealed in liquid articles without opening the outer packages. The method comprises the steps of: emitting radiation beams to transmit through the liquid article; receiving the radiation beams transmitted through the liquid article to get multi-angle projection data; inversely operating the multi-angle projection data based on the uniformity of the liquid article to obtain an attribute value of the inspected liquid article; retrieving a reference attribute value in a pre-created database by using the identification information of the liquid article as an index, and calculating a difference between the calculated attribute value and the reference attribute value; and determining whether the difference is larger than a predefined threshold value; wherein it is concluded that there are drugs concealed in the liquid article when the difference is determined to be larger than the predefined threshold value.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method of discriminating materials by employing fast neutron and continuous spectral X-ray and an equipment for the same. The method comprising the steps of: (a) transmitting a fast neutron beam produced by a fast neutron source and a continuous spectral X-ray beam produced by a continuous spectral X-ray source through inspected objects; (b) directly measuring the intensity of the transmitted X-rays and the intensity of the transmitted neutrons by a X-ray detector array and a neutron detector array respectively; and (c) identifying the materials of the inspected object by Z-dependency curves formed by the attenuation differences between the neutron beam and X-ray beam transmitted through different materials of the inspected object. This direct measurement of transmitted dual-ray technique has much more efficient than secondary radiations measurement such as neutron activation analysis, has much more material discrimination sensitivity than dual-energy x-ray technique. The respective measurements of neutrons and x-rays make the usages of high detect efficiency neutron detectors and x-ray detectors possible. The using continuous spectral x-ray produced by Linac adds more advantages such as: high penetration ability, high spatial resolution, and high image quality over monoenergetic dual-ray technique.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a method for performing CT imaging on a region of interest of an object under examination, comprising: acquiring the CT projection data of the region of interest; acquiring the CT projection data of region B; selecting a group of PI line segments covering the region of interest, and calculating the reconstruction image value for each PI line segment in the group; and combining the reconstruction image values in all the PI line segments to obtain the image of the region of interest. The present invention further discloses a CT imaging device using this method and a data processor therein. Since the 2D/3D slice image of the region of interest can be exactly reconstructed and obtained as long as the X-ray beam covers the region of interest and the region B, it is possible to use a small-sized detector to perform CT imaging on the region of interest at any position of a large-sized object, which reduces to a great extent the radiation dose of the X-ray during the CT scanning.
