Abstract:
A process is disclosed wherein D(-)-.beta.-hydroxyisobutyric acid is produced fermentatively from isobutyric acid or methacrylic acid by the stereoselective action of microorganisms having the ability to convert isobutyric acid or methacrylic acid into D(-)-.beta.-hydroxyisobutyric acid in an aqueous medium, and D(-)-.beta.-hydroxyisobutyric acid is recovered from the aqueous medium.
Abstract:
A new antibiotic designated as auromomycin is prepared from the culture broth of Streptomyces macromomyceticus, a macromomycin-producing strain, as yellow crystals. Auromomycin is recovered in pure form from the culture broth by using hydrophobic chromatography with Octyl Sephalose CL-4B or Phenyl Sepharose CL-4B.
Abstract:
A process for preparing L-threonine by cultivating an artificial mutant of Escherichia coli (ATCC-21248) which requires methionine and valine or leucine in an aqueous nutrient medium under submerged aerobic condition to accumulate appreciable quantities of L-threonine.
Abstract:
A touch panel includes a plurality of first and second transparent electrodes extending in first and second directions on one side of a transparent substrate. One of a couple of adjacent electrodes of the first electrodes and a couple of adjacent electrodes of the second electrodes at each of crossing portions has no interruption while the adjacent electrodes of the other couple are interrupted. A transparent interlayer insulting film is disposed as an upper layer on the one couple at each of the crossing portions. A metal bridge electrode is an upper layer on the interlayer insulting film to connect between the adjacent electrodes of the other couple. Each of the coupling portions has a greater length than the bridge portion.
Abstract:
There is provided an insulated wire having an insulation film composed of a plurality of layers provided on a conductor, in which: the insulation film includes a first film layer and a second film layer; the first film layer is made of a first resin composition formed by graft-polymerizing a graft compound with an ethylene-tetrafluoroethylene copolymer and is provided on a circumference of the conductor; and the second film layer is made of a second resin composition being a polymer alloy made of a polyphenylene sulfide resin and a polyamide resin, or being a polymer alloy made of a polyether ether ketone resin and a polyamide resin and is provided on a circumference of the first film layer.
Abstract:
A sheet stacking apparatus includes an endless belt member onto which sheets are stacked and which moves rotationally to convey the sheets; a plurality of holding members that is provided on the belt member and that holds the sheets down to a sheet stacking surface of the belt member to nip the sheets; and sheet detecting portions which detect presence or absence of sheets between the holding members and the sheet stacking surface of the belt member, the sheet detecting portions each include a light emitting portion that emits light and a light receiving portion that receives the light, and the light emitting portions and the light receiving portions are fixedly provided below the sheet stacking surface of the belt member so that the light emitting portions and the light receiving portions detect presence or absence of a sheet at times when facing the holding members.
Abstract:
A sheet punching device includes a first blade, a first die into which the first blade is fitted from a first surface of a sheet to form a punch hole in the sheet, a second blade, and a second die into which the second blade is fitted. The second blade is inserted into the punch hole formed by the first blade from a second surface of the sheet and fitted into the second die.
Abstract:
A folded spine of a booklet held by a pair of opposing holding members is deformed by entering a pressing member into a gap between the pair of holding members and bringing the pressing member into pressure contact with the folded spine. In consequence, the folded spine is prevented from receiving an excessive pressing force, and a smooth surface with a width substantially equal to the thickness of the booklet is thus formed on the folded spine, whereby a booklet with a good appearance can be made.
Abstract:
A lateral pin extraction tool for extracting a lateral pin fitted into respective lateral holes penetrating a plurality of adapters and a plurality of points, respectively, in a working machine bucket, comprising: an extraction butting element, the distal end thereof being butted against the end part of the lateral pin fitted into the lateral hole while, under the striking force, being inserted into the lateral hole for extracting the lateral pin fitted into the lateral hole; and a striking block element integrally provided at the proximal end of the extraction butting element for receiving the striking force to transmit it to the extraction butting element; and a shank element for grip equipped with a slip prevention part integrally mounted to the striking block element, the protrusion length of the extraction butting element from the striking block element being set at any length of extra long, long, medium, and short.
Abstract:
There is provided an insulated wire including a wire conductor and an insulation coating formed on the wire conductor by extrusion coating a resin composition. The resin composition is a mixture of a polyphenylene sulfide-based resin (A) and a polyamide-based resin (B), in which a ratio of parts by mass of the resin (B) to that of the resin (A), i.e. (B)/(A), is not less than 5/95 and not more than 30/70.
