A system tool that provides dispatchers in power grid control centers with a capability to manage changes. Included is a user interface and a plurality of scheduler engines. Each scheduler engine is configured to look ahead at different time frames to forecast system conditions and alter generation patterns within the different time frames. A comprehensive operating plan holds schedules generated by the plurality of scheduler engines. A relational database is coupled to the comprehensive operating plan. Input data is initially received from the relational database for each scheduling engine, and thereafter the relational database receives data from the scheduling engines relative to forecast system conditions.
Abstract:
Methods are provided that enable dispatchers in power grid control centers to manage changes. A comprehensive operating plan is provided with multiple, security constrained economic dispatch engines 1, 2 and 3. The scheduler engines are security constrained unit commitments and economic dispatch sequences with different look-ahead periods. The comprehensive operation plan is configured to integrate scheduler engines into a unified scheduling system. The comprehensive operating plan includes a repository of all operating plans in a multi-stage decision process.

Methods for manufacturing an engineered wood product are disclosed. The method may include applying at least one preservative on the plurality of wood pieces; applying at least one resin on the plurality of wood pieces, wherein at least one of applying at least one preservative and applying at least one resin is configured to prevent interference among the at least one preservative and the at least one resin; forming a blanket of wood pieces from the plurality of wood pieces; and curing the at least one resin.
Abstract:
A leadless plastic chip carrier is constructed by half etching one or both sides of the package design onto a leadframe strip so as to create unique design features such as power and/or ground ring surrounding the die attach pad, interlocking rivet head construction for the contact pads, and an interlocking pattern for the die attach pad. After wire bonding and molding, a further etching is performed to isolate and expose contact pads. Singulation of individual chip packages from the leadframe strip is then performed by saw singulation or die punching.
Abstract:
A system tool merges different load forecasts for power grid centers. A plurality of load forecast engines are coupled to a load forecast interface and a relational data base that saves load forecast engine data as an input through the load forecast interface. A comprehensive operating plan is coupled to the load forecast engines and the relational database. The comprehensive operating plan is configured to integrate individual load forecasts into a composite load forecast to present a comprehensive, synchronized and harmonized load forecast. A program interface provides access to the composite load forecasting schedule.

A power converter that controls a collector current of a bipolar junction transistor (BJT) by controlling the base current to the BJT after having determined the gain of the BJT. A gain detection block determines a gain of the BJT during a first mode. A current calculation block generates a current setting for the base current based on the gain of the BJT determined by the gain detection block during a second mode distinct from the first mode. In some embodiments, the power converter may be included in a LED lamp system.

A decision-support tool is provided to evaluate operational and financial performance for dispatchers in power grid control centers associated with utility systems. A scheduler engine is coupled to a comprehensive operating plan that applies after the fact analysis for performance metrics, root-cause impacts and process re-engineering. A relational database is coupled to a data archiver that captures actual system and resource conditions and then supplies the system and resource conditions to the relational database. The scheduler engine receives the actual system and resource conditions from the relational database and processes it to calculate system performance. A user interface is configured to display at least one of, transmission evaluation application displays, reference and scenario cases and associations between them, results presented with a graphical or tabular displays, comparison results between scenario cases and a reference case, a family of curves where each curve is a performance metric, comparison of scenario input data, study results and statistical analysis and historical data.

The comprehensive operating plan is configured to coordinate scheduling data to and from power grid system applications and present a comprehensive, synchronized and harmonized view of scheduling data to at least one of, applications, power grid system operators and other stakeholders for power grid system operations.

There is disclosed a drape hangable, selectively, in differing configurations, the drape comprising: a plurality of fasteners secured at horizontally spaced intervals in an upper marginal region of the drape for releasably securing tabs for hanging the drape from a curtain rod; a plurality of curtain rod pockets secured at horizontally spaced intervals in the marginal region for receiving a curtain rod longitudinally inserted through a selected number of the curtain rod pockets; a plurality of tie loops secured at horizontally spaced intervals in the marginal region, each for receiving an associated tie for hanging the drape from a curtain rod. Kits for selectively hanging a drape in different configurations are also disclosed.
