Abstract: A method for controlling a correctable error reporting function and applicable to a server device is provided, including: receiving, by control unit, a plurality of first error messages sent by a first hardware component in which a plurality of correctable errors occurs in a plurality of hardware components; determining, by the control unit, according to the first error messages, error types of the errors occurring in the first hardware component; determining, by the control unit, whether the number of occurrences of the errors of the error types that occur in the first hardware component within first preset duration reaches a preset number of times; and if the determining result is yes, controlling, by the control unit, the first hardware component to stop performing an error reporting function corresponding to the first error type.

Abstract: A system includes a host and a display. The host includes a programmable logic device (PIP), a baseboard management controller (BMC) and a switch. The PLD performs a power-on procedure based on a power-on sequence code, generates variable character information in the power-on procedure, and fills the variable character information into a variable field in a preset log text file to result in an updated log text file. When it is determined that the power-on procedure is not normally completed, the PLD controls the switch to switch to a debug mode, and transmits a video signal containing debug information corresponding to the updated log text file to the switch so that the video signal is outputted to the display.

Abstract: A server with a double-firmware storage space and a firmware update method therefor are provided. The server includes a baseboard management controller (BMC) with a control module and an update module, a selection circuit, a first storage circuit, and a second storage circuit. The control module executes a first firmware program from the first storage circuit. The update module stores a second firmware program in the second storage circuit according to a firmware update instruction when the control module executes the first firmware program. The BMC resets after the second firmware program is stored in the second storage circuit. After the BMC is reset, the control module obtains the second firmware program from the second storage circuit and executes the second firmware program.

Abstract: An anti-tamper system includes a first object, second objects, and an anti-tamper circuit that includes conductive networks and a control unit. Each conductive network includes: conductive modules, each of which is sandwiched between the first object and a corresponding second object; and conductive connection members which are coupled to the conductive modules in such away that at least the conductive modules and the conductive connection members cooperatively form a corresponding electrical path sequentially going through the second objects. The control unit detects damage of each electrical path, and initiates a predetermined action upon detecting the damage.

Abstract: A method for initializing a peripheral component interconnect express (PCI-E) interface card is provided. The method includes: initializing, by a processing unit in a boot procedure according to a preset first value of a flag, a PCI-E interface card inserted in a PCI-E interface slot by using a first initialization parameter included in a basic input/output system (BIOS) code; setting, by the processing unit in the boot procedure according to the initialized PCI-E interface card, the flag to have the first value or a second value; determining, by the processing unit in the boot procedure, whether the initialized PCI-E interface card needs to be reinitialized; and reinitializing, by the processing unit according to the second value of the set flag when the PCI-E interface card needs to be reinitialized, the PCI-E interface card by using a second initialization parameter included in the BIOS code.
