Abstract:
The present invention makes it possible to search desired images more quickly and surely. A keyword searching part 121 searches keywords set to image data from a recording medium on the basis of a keyword. An imaging information searching part 122 searches imaging information set to image data from the recording medium on the basis of imaging information. On the basis of a keyword or imaging information searched by the keyword searching part 121 or the imaging information searching part 122, a similar information-set image searching section 114 searches similar image data as image data having a high correlation to the searched keyword or imaging information. A keyword extracting section 115 extracts keywords from the similar image data. A keyword setting section 116 sets the extracted keywords to image data searched by the keyword searching part 121 or the imaging information searching part 122. Thus, desired images can be searched more quickly and surely. The present invention is applicable to an image management apparatus.
Abstract:
A display control apparatus which controls display of information about a group of data having a predetermined relevance, the apparatus may include a means for generating a three dimensional model for display in accordance with a first item of information of the information about the group; and a means for controlling display of a second item of information that is the information about the group and different from the first item of information so as to be overlaid on a three dimensional image displayed based on the model.
Abstract:
Image information regarding image data recorded on a storage medium is efficiently recorded, regardless of a storage medium type. Thumbnail files 600 to 609 hold thumbnail slots 620 to 629, respectively. Each of the thumbnail slots 620 to 629 holds, as a thumbnail, a representative image of corresponding image data. Text files 700 to 709 hold text slots 720 to 729, respectively. Each of the text slots 720 to 729 holds text information regarding corresponding image data. An attribute file 509 holds an attribute file header 519 and an attribute slot 529. The thumbnail slots 620 to 629 and the text files 700 to 709 are referred to from the attribute slot 529.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a file management apparatus for managing files, recorded on a recording medium, on the basis of an index file including management information about the files, the apparatus including: a management status information holding unit for holding management status information indicative of a management status of the files in the index file; a recording status detecting unit for detecting a recording status of the files recorded on the recording medium; and an inconsistency detecting unit for detecting an inconsistency between the management status of the files in the index file and the recording status of the files recorded on the recording medium on the basis of the management status information and the recording status detected by the recording status detecting unit.
Abstract:
To record a video signal on a recording medium for faithful reproduction A signal processing unit generates a video signal corresponding to a specified color space. An encoding/decoding unit performs data compression on the video signal in accordance with the MPEG4-AVC standard to generate a compressed video signal to be recorded on a recording medium. A CPU generates a color space identifier including information indicating the specified color space and is configured so that an access unit including an SPS NAL unit in the compressed video signal includes an SEI NAL unit in which the color space identifier is stored. The video signal recorded on the recording medium is a signal to which a color space identifier having information for a color space of that video signal is added.
Abstract:
A content recording apparatus includes: a content management file storing section that stores a content management file that records hierarchical entries organized in a virtual hierarchical structure; a content inputting section that inputs content files; a virtual management information creating section that creates virtual management information for virtually managing each of the inputted content files, on the basis of the content file; a meta data creating section that creates meta data related to each of the inputted content files, on the basis of the content file; and a recording control section that records file entries, which are the hierarchical entries including the created virtual management information, into the content management file, and records meta data entries, which are the hierarchical entries including the created meta data, at a lower hierarchical level than the file entries in the content management file.
Abstract:
Time varying images 712 before coded are rearranged in a coding stage into unitary images 722 having the sequence of time stamps DTS 725. A GPS or the like provides position information indicative of the position whereat the respective unitary image of a motion image has been captured. The unitary image and the position information are correlated to one another by setting common time stamps PTS (724 and 723) thereon. When decoding each of blocks of coded and multiplexed data 731 to 735, the position information corresponding to the unitary image is specified. Thereby, the unitary image of the coded motion image and the corresponding position information are correlated to one another, whereby a trajectory of the motion image can be displayed on a map in accordance with the position information.
Abstract:
Information created by a device and recorded on a recording medium and information supplied externally to the device and recorded on the recording medium are classified according to creation date and time information. Each image data file recorded on the recording medium has an original recorded file flag added thereto which indicates whether the image data file is obtained by photographing using the device. Photographing date and time information is added to an image data file obtained by photographing using the device. Obtainment date and time information is added to an image data file supplied externally. In a classification process, an original recorded file flag is checked; an obtainment date and time is used for an image data file obtained externally; a photographing date and time is used for an image data file obtained by photographing; a classification process is performed; and a result of the classification process is displayed.

Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a picture display controlling apparatus capable of improving the user's ease of operation upon selecting picture data on a small-size screen of digital cameras or the like. Picture data items held in a data holding unit (310) are sorted into picture groups. The location of the picture data item most recently displayed from any of the picture groups is held as a picture resume pointer in a resume pointer holding unit (320). With an operation input accepted from the user by an operation inputting device (340), a display controlling unit (390) causes a displaying unit (350) to display the picture designated by the operation input while effecting transition from the current display status retained in a status holding unit (330). If the operation input designates transition from a first picture group to a second picture group, the location of the picture data item currently displayed from the first picture group is placed into the resume pointer holding unit (320), and the location of the picture data item to be displayed anew from the second picture group is retrieved from the resume pointer holding unit (320).
