    摘要： A command generator having a single-input multi-out converter is provided. The command generator in a memory device comprises a converter for receiving first and second control signals from external circuit and an input signal having a plurality of pulses to generate binary data denoting a command. The converter comprises an input buffer, in response to the first and the second control signals, for receiving the input signal having a plurality of pulses and outputting an output signal having a number of pulses within a predetermined period; and a pulse counter for counting the number of pulses in the output signal to generate binary data representing the counted number. The command generator counts the number of pulses of a input signal through a pad, that is, performs built-in self-test of the product, thereby product cost can be considerably reduced because of reduction of test time.

    摘要： An analog-to-digital (A/D) conversion apparatus using a delta-sigma method performs a magnitude control operation and a filtering operation with respect to a differential signal in a conventional A/D conversion apparatus. The A/D conversion apparatus includes a multiplier for multiplying a differential signal output from a differential circuit, a filter for filtering the differential signal and outputting a filtered data signal, and an adder for adding the signals output from the multiplier and the filter and supplying the added result to a quantizer. The factor used in the multiplier is selected so that the quantization noise generated is smaller than the quantization noise generated in the conventional A/D conversion apparatus. Thus, the A/D conversion apparatus provides a wider bandwidth than the conventional A/D conversion apparatus, since it generates relatively smaller quantization noise with respect to the entire passband. As a result, the A/D conversion apparatus provides good performance appropriate for next-generation audio equipment requiring a higher signal-to-noise ratio. Also, since the A/D conversion apparatus can be realized by modifying the conventional A/D conversion apparatus hardware only slightly, an A/D conversion apparatus having much better performance can be manufactured using substantially the same production process and cost.

Using the information structure and restoration method, stream objects divided by temporary deletion can be fully restored to their original state, and the temporarily-deleted part can be permanently deleted.

Accordingly, file extent information can be prevented from excessively increasing by maximally preventing a recording area from being scattered, when some of a data file are deleted by a user's request.
