Abstract: Systems and methods provide for beam detection in a wireless communication system. An apparatus for a UE may be configured to identify a plurality of CSI-RS resources corresponding to different Tx beams configured for measurement by the UE, measure an L1-RSRP for the plurality of CSI-RS resources, determine a selected Tx beam of the different Tx beams based on measured L1-RSRP values for the plurality of CSI-RS resources, and determine a measurement accuracy of a first L1-RSRP value corresponding to the selected Tx beam based on successful beam detection probability.

Among other things, these methods, systems, and storage media can reduce the interruption time during handovers for when these methods, systems, and storage media are capable of such simultaneous communication.

The one or more baseband processors are to accommodate a timing advance (TA) value to determine when to perform the active BWP switch. Abstract: Technology for a user equipment (UE) operable to decode a resource mapping pattern of a phase tracking reference signal (PT-RS) received from a base station in a wireless network is disclosed. The UE can decode control signaling received in a downlink from the base station. The control signaling can indicate a resource mapping pattern for a PT-RS. The UE can identify the resource mapping pattern for the PT-RS based on the control signaling received from the base station. The UE can encode one or more PT-RS for transmission to the base station in an uplink in accordance with the resource mapping pattern for the PT-RS.
