摘要: The present invention relates to a method for use in a user equipment (10), and relates to a user equipment (10) for enabling a serving base station (40) to estimate interference contribution in a network when scheduling resources for the use equipment. According to the method, the user equipment determines an amount of resources required to send data and the user equipment sends a report to it serving base station when the required amount of resources is greater than a threshold value. In the report, measurements performed by the user equipment are included. The report will assist the serving base station with its estimation of the degree of interference user equipments generates in the network, and hence the power and resources to assign.

摘要: According to embodiment of the present invention, there is provided a radio base station (20) and a corresponding method for estimating the quality of the uplink control channel. The method comprises measuring (32, 42) a quality parameter of the uplink data channel, and using (38, 50) this to estimate the quality of the uplink control channel. In one embodiment, measurements of the uplink control channel are taken and their reliability determined. If the reliability is low (i.e. below a threshold, or below the respective measurements taken on the uplink data channel), then measurements on the data channel are used instead of those made on the control channel to estimate the control channel quality.

摘要: For uplink cooperation of a serving access node (100-1) one or more supporting access nodes (100-2) are selected. The selection is based on a characteristic of a link between a terminal (200) served by the serving access node (100-1) and the supporting access node (100-2), or is based on a characteristic of a link between a further terminal (200′) served by the supporting access node (100-2) and the serving access node (100-1). The characteristics of the links may comprise a signal quality, e.g. a path gain, a signal strength, or a latency. The characteristics of the links may also comprise scheduling information, e.g. time resources and/or frequency resources used on the link.

摘要: Each base station in a cellular telephone system includes a signal strength measurement device operable to tune to and make signal strength measurements on not only the frequencies allocated to other cells, but also on its own allocated frequencies. Measurements are made by the device on those of its own frequencies having idle traffic channels to obtain an indication of injected uplink interference. An interference penalty is then assessed against the measured uplink interference for those frequencies having more than a threshold number of idle traffic channels. The adjusted measurements for the frequencies allocated to the cell are then sorted in relative order of idle traffic channel (adjusted) measured uplink interference from a least (adjusted) interfered frequency to a most (adjusted) interfered frequency. An idle traffic channel is then selected for assignment at either call set-up or hand-off from the least (adjusted) interfered frequency.

摘要: Embodiments herein relate to a method in a first communication node (201) for estimating pre-coding weights for transmission on a radio channel (205) between the first node (201) and a second communication node (203) in a communication network (200). The first node (201) comprises at least two transmit antennas. Each transmit antenna is configured to transmit on each of at least two sub-bands. The first node (201) obtains at least two pre-coding reports. Each pre-coding report is for a different time instance. Each pre-coding report comprises pre-coding weights or indications to pre-coding weights. The pre-coding weights are associated with each transmit antenna and with each sub-band. For each transmit antenna, the first node (201) estimates pre-coding weights for at least one of the sub-bands based on the pre-coding weights in the obtained pre-coding reports. The estimated pre-coding weights are different from a most resent of the obtained pre-coding reports.

摘要: According to some embodiments, there is provided a base station system configured to, among other things, (a) detect whether a particular UE is using too much power to transmit uplink data and (b) in response, transmit a message to the UE instructing the UE to detect a power control RS (PCRS) that is intended only for the particular UE. In some embodiments, the PCRS is transmitted such that the power (actual or nominal) of the PCRS as received by the UE is higher than the power of the previous CRS detected by the UE, thereby leading the UE to calculate a lower PL value, which can lead to the UE lowering its output power.
