摘要： A scroll type compressor including a drive shaft which is provided with a spiral groove formed in an external circumferential surface of the drive shaft. The spiral groove communicates diagonally between the oil space and the upper portion of the main bearing to ensure sufficient lubrication and sealing in the area where the drive shaft slide in contact with the main bearing. A seal bearing portion is positioned between the oil space and the low pressure space to isolate the oil space from the low pressure orbiting space, achieving an improvement in lubrication. The seal bearing portion is constituted with a seal washer, a seal bearing and a seal member, and, furthermore, with seal reinforcing material, to especially improve the seal between the oil space and the oscillation space.

摘要： A laser diode capable of having the position and emitting direction of its laser beam readily varied as desired through control over injected currents. The laser diode has an independent current injecting region in a waveguide (intermediate region) near the mirror facet of the laser diode, the center axis of the current injecting region differing from that of another waveguide (straight region). Suitably modulating the currents injected into the current injecting region generates a desired refractive index profile, whereby beam scan is obtained as desired.

The multijoint arm is constituted by a plurality of parallel crank mechanisms arranged on corresponding planes in parallel with the circulating plane. One of the links constituting the first-stage parallel crank mechanism is fixed on the base member. During nonuse of the apparatus, the respective parallel crank mechanism overlap each other on the base member. Pulleys are mounted on joints of the arm, and a wire is wrapped around the pulleys. When at least one of the pulleys is pivoted, the parallel crank mechanisms are displaced, thereby extending or retracting the arm.

The centrally located lens element of the scanning lens has a refractive power in the direction for correcting the surface tilt, that is, an inverted number of a focal length that is changed in accordance with the scanning view angle, whereby curvature of field is well corrected and RMS spot diameters on the scanning surface may be small. In addition, even if the view angle is increased, imaging characteristics may be kept at a high resolving power.

The ternary system is expressed by the general formula [Pb(Mg.sub.1/3 Nb.sub.2/3)O.sub.3 ].sub.x -[Pb(Ni.sub.1/3 Nb.sub.2/3)O.sub.3 ].sub.y -[PbTiO.sub.3 ].sub.z wherein the subscripts x, y and z satisfy the equation x+y+z=1 and fall within the region defined by the line segments joining the seven points A, B, C, D, E, F and G within the triangular ternary-system diagram shown in the accompanying drawing. Preferably, the lead manganese-niobate (Pb(Mn.sub.1/3 Nb.sub.2/3)O.sub.3) is contained in a proportion of 0.01 mol % to 10 mol % to the major constituent.
