When an operator desires to block a port of a specific node for maintenance and repair, the operator gives a forced switching (FS) command to the specific node in order to block the port. When the operator desires to clear FS, the operator gives a clear command to the specific node in order to clear the blocked port. As a result, operation flexibility of the Ethernet ring network is provided.

    摘要: A system and a method for providing a secured transmission through an authenticated encryption for each ONU in downlink transmission of an OLT in GPON are provided. The GPON system includes an OLT for generating a GTC downlink frame by receiving data from an external service provider and ONUs for receiving the GTC downlink frame from the OLT and processing the received GTC downlink frame. The OLT performs the authenticated encryption for the generated GTC downlink frame according to the ONU by including an authentication generator and the ONU determines whether the GTC downlink frame is allowed to be processed or not by checking the authentication of the received GTC downlink frame through an authentication checker.

    摘要: Provided is a method of monitoring link performance and diagnosing an active link state without interrupting traffic in an Ethernet passive optical network (EPON) while the link is in the active state. The method of monitoring link performance and diagnosing an active link state without interrupting data flow to logic links which are in active states in the EPON, includes: a) allowing an operator of the EPON to select a link performance monitoring function or a link active state diagnosing function; b-1) if the link performance monitoring function is selected, setting a monitoring cycle timer and periodically transmitting a performance information request frame from a local node to a remote node; b-2) if the remote node receives the performance information request frame, collecting corresponding link performance information and transmitting a response frame from the remote node to the local node in a format which is predetermined in accordance with a corresponding frame format; b-3) if the local node receives the response frame from the remote node, analyzing the performance information of the response frame and determining whether the link performance has deteriorated or if a failure has occurred in the local node; b-4) if the deterioration of the link function or the degree of the failure reaches a predetermined threshold, reporting to an upper layer that a failure has occurred.

    摘要: Provided are a combined, fixed codebook searching method and apparatus used in a code excited linear prediction (CELP) speech codec. The method is used in a code excited linear prediction (CELP) speech codec, and includes searching for a fixed codebook using a full search method that searches for the fixed codebook at all pulse positions; selecting a fixed codebook searching method by counting the number of users who are accessing a gateway, comparing the number of users with a predetermined threshold, and selecting a proper fixed codebook searching method based on the result of comparison; searching for the fixed codebook using the selected fixed codebook searching method; and checking whether the search for the fixed codebook is complete for all tracks of the CELP speech codec, terminating a routine of searching for the fixed codebook when it is determined the search is complete for all the tracks, and selecting a fixed codebook searching method again in consideration of the number of gateway users when there remains a track to be searched for. Accordingly, a fixed codebook searching method is selected in consideration of the number of users who are accessing a gateway, thereby enabling an effective adjustment of either the quality of sound or the channel capacity of the gateway.
