Abstract: A power supply cord for use with a leakage current detection and interruption device, including at least two power supply lines, at least two insulating layers respectively covering the at least two power supply lines, at least two shield lines respectively covering the at least two insulating layers, and at least one insulating structure covering at least one of the at least two shield lines to electrically insulate the at least two shield lines from each other. By providing the insulating structure outside of at least one of the shield lines, the shield lines of different power supply lines are independent of each other, so that the shield lines can better detect leakage currents in the power supply lines.

Abstract: A leakage current protection device includes a shell and a core assembly disposed within the shell. The core assembly includes a control circuit board, a trip assembly disposed on the control circuit board, and an input end and an output end connected to the trip assembly. The trip assembly includes a first driving member movable linearly in a first direction and a second driving member pivotable around a pivotal support axis, where the first and second driving members are mechanically engaged with each other and move together with each other. The second driving member has two driving points configured to move in a second direction as the second driving member pivots, the second direction being non-parallel to the first direction. Movements of the two driving points of the second driving member in the second direction are operable to electrically connect or disconnect the input and output ends.

Abstract: A relay-type leakage current protection device includes a switch circuit, a relay circuit, a leakage current detection circuit, a self-test circuit, and a drive circuit. The switch circuit controls electrical connection between input and output ends of the power supply. The relay circuit is coupled to the input end and controls the open/close state of the switch circuit. The leakage current detection circuit detects a leakage current on the power supply lines. The self-test circuit is coupled to the power supply lines and the leakage current detection circuit, to generate a self-test pulse signal which simulates the leakage current and to detect a fault condition in the leakage current detection circuit. The drive circuit drives the relay circuit in response to receiving a leakage current signal from the leakage current detection circuit or a fault signal from the self-test circuit.

Abstract: An arc fault detection circuit for an arc fault circuit interrupter (AFCI). Abstract: A leakage current detection and interruption (LCDI) device includes a leakage current detection module, including first and second leakage current detection lines, a signal line, and at least one resistive element and/or at least one semiconductor element, configured to detect a leakage current signal on the first or second current-carrying line and to generate a leakage fault signal in response thereto. The first and second leakage current detection lines are electrically insulated from each other, and respectively cover one of the first and second current-carrying lines. A point at which the first and second leakage current detection lines are coupled to each other is coupled to the signal line, to form respective current paths with the signal line, for detecting an open circuit fault in the leakage current detection module. Abstract: A power plug includes a shell, input insertion plates, output power lines, a push button on the shell, and a trip assembly inside the shell for controlling electrical coupling between the input insertion plates and output power lines. The trip assembly includes a light emitting element, electrical coupling terminals, and a drive member mechanically coupled to the push button and configured to, in response to a pressing of the push button, control electrical coupling of the electrical coupling terminals, which in turn controls the electrical coupling between the input insertion plates and output power lines. The drive member includes a reflective portion that reflects a part of the light from the light emitting element to the push button as an indicator light. The dual function drive member that accomplishes both mechanical coupling and light transmission reduces the number of components. A device with an electrical control circuit is also disclosed.

Abstract: A leakage current detection interrupter (LCDI) device for an electrical appliance includes a shell and a trip assembly inside the shell. The shell includes an upper cover and a base cover joined together, and either the upper cover or the base cover includes a first cover and a removable second cover. The second cover spatially corresponds to a tail portion of the trip assembly; when it is removed, the tail portion is expose to allow a power cord to be connected to the LCDI device. By using a removable second cover, the cord can be conveniently assembled with the LCDI device when the LCDI device is installed on the electrical appliance, allowing the LCDI to be shipped without the cord. This can reduce the packed size of the LCDI device for easier shipping and storage, as well as lowering cost. It also makes the LCDI device more versatile.
