摘要： The invention provides a new process for the manufacture of aromatic compounds which at least once contain a benzene ring of an aromatic carbocyclic ring system bonded by an ethylene double bond in conjugation with a further aromatic ring system, i.e. contain the stilbene skeleton or stilbene analogon as central structural element, as well as certain classes of new compounds of this type. The process is characterized by the reaction of a Schiff base of an aromatic aldehyde with an aromatic carbocyclic six-membered ring compound which contains one to four methyl groups bonded to ring carbon atoms of a benzene ring, which furthermore contains aromatic rings which are exclusively six-membered carbocyclic rings, and wherein those benzene rings whose methyl groups are to be caused to react are free of other substituents which contain atoms wich are replaceable by alkali metal. The reaction is carried out in the presence of (a) a strongly basic alkali compound and (b) an N-dialkyl-acylamide as solvent. The compounds obtainable according to this process show a marked fluorescence emission and therefore are suitable for all purposes where fluorescence properties are used, as for instance optical brighteners, scintillators fluorescence dyes, etc.

摘要： A novel process for the production of compounds of the formulaA--CH.dbd.CH--D--CH.dbd.CH--A.sub.1 (I)wherein A and A.sub.1, independently of one another, denote phenyl, naphthyl, diphenylyl, 2-phenyl-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl or pyridyl, it being possible for A and A.sub.1 to contain non-chromophoric substituents, and D denotes 4,4'-diphenylylene, 1,5- or 2,6-naphthylene, or a 9,10-dihydrophenanthrene or dibenzofurane radical which is bonded to the vinylene groups in the 2,7-position, which comprises reacting in a first stage a compound of the formulaX--CH.sub.2 --D--CH.sub.2--X (II)wherein X denotes halogen, especially chlorine or bromine, hydroxyl or a group ##STR1## wherein X.sub.1 represents an aliphatic cycloaliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbon radical, especially alkyl having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, or phenyl, and D has the indicated meaning, in a strongly acid medium, in a molar ratio of at least 1:2, with an organic sulphide containing 5 to 8 ring members, of the formula ##STR2## wherein B represents a polymethylene group of 4 to 7 methylene groups and wherein one of these methylene groups can be replaced by a hetero-atom and wherein these methylene groups can also contain alkyl groups with 1 to 4 carbon atoms as substituents, to give a sulphonium salt of the formula ##STR3## wherein M represents the anion of the strong acid used and n denotes the numbers 1 or 2; reacting, in a second stage, the resulting sulphonium salt with 2 mols of an aldehyde of the formulaA--CHO (V)orA.sub.1 --CHO (VI)or their mixture, in the presence of strong bases, in a strongly polar, protic or aprotic, water-miscible solvent to give a diepoxide of the formula ##STR4## and subjecting in a 3rd stage, the diepoxide of the formula (VII), thus obtained, to a reduction according to processes which are in themselves known for the reduction of epoxides with elimination of the epoxide oxygen and formation of vinylene groups.

摘要： A method of, and apparatus for, loading transporting trolleys with full cans and supplying full cans to spinning machines fed with fiber sliver, wherein the empty cans are placed upon transporting trolleys interconnected to form a transporting trolley train and transported from a spinning machine fed with fiber sliver to a can loading device. The cans are transported from their transporting trolley first to a can take-up station, then are engaged by a revolving can transporting device which transports each of the cans to a spinning preparatory machine delivering a fiber sliver and where each of the cans are filled with the fiber sliver. After filling the cans are transported via a can output station back onto a transporting trolley of the same train and such transporting trolley train is then brought back to the spinning machine fed with fiber sliver.

Users can be deemed trustworthy depending on which email groups they belong to with respect to one another. Notifications of new or modified listings can also be sent to potentially interested users based on the users' trust levels. A ratings system can be employed as well to facilitate boosting or diminishing a user's or group's trust level. The social marketplace can include such activities as a listing service to buy, sell, or give items to others, dating and other personal listings, and job searching.
