Abstract:
An apparatus and process for self-aligning components for forming an embedded die package is disclosed. The process includes providing a planar printed wire board (PWB) substrate having registration pads and a component having contact pads and spaced alignment pads, wherein the alignment pads each have a solder cap, placing the component on the substrate such that the alignment pads are in coarse alignment with the registration pads, applying heat to the alignment and registration pads to reflow the solder caps to precisely align the pads; and reducing the temperature below the reflow temperature. The process further includes applying a backside outer layer lamination, forming first vias, forming redistribution conductors on an opposite surface of the substrate connecting to the vias, and applying a front side outer layer lamination over the opposite surface of the substrate, all at temperatures below the reflow temperature.
Abstract:
A mobile device receives via a wireless network an enable message which indicates that a data message has been received and is ready for retrieval. The mobile device then provides an indication which indicates that the data message has been received, and includes a subset of the data message. After providing the indication, the mobile device detects a user-initiated entry into a messaging application. In response to detecting the user-initiated entry, the mobile device examines a setting in a data store which is provided in response to the enable message. If the setting is provided in the data store, the mobile device requests the data message by sending via the wireless network a fetch message and subsequently receives the data message. If the setting is not provided in the data store, the mobile device refrains from sending the fetch message.
Abstract:
A method for controlling a spectral Doppler ultrasound imaging device adapted for operating both in a spectrum-live Doppler measurement mode (S3) and in an image-live measurement mode (S1, S6) is proposed. In accordance with the present invention, the method comprises automatically switching to the image-live measurement mode (S6) upon detection (S5) of a change of a sampled region. A change of a sampled region may be indicated by an operator by actuating a sampled region control device such as a trackball, angle knob or sample gate controller and, upon such actuation, the spectral Doppler ultrasound imaging device may automatically switch to the image-live measurement mode (S6) to allow for adapting or correcting of a position and/or orientation of the sampled region. After the sampled region has been positionally stable for a predetermined duration, the spectral Doppler ultrasound imaging device may be switched back (S7) to the spectrum-live measurement mode (S3). Thereby, unnecessary manual toggling between different measurement modes may be avoided and quantitative spectrum-live Doppler measurement (S3) is enabled being interrupted only when necessary, i.e. when a sampled region is changed.
Abstract:
A multicomponent smoking article filter adapted to be disposed at the non-burning end of the rod of smokable material, comprising: a first plug; a second plug; a first cavity disposed between the first plug and the second plug, wherein the first cavity comprises: (1) a plurality of cellulosic granules containing a flavorant, and (2) either a plurality of cellulosic granules containing a humectant, or containing water, or a combination thereof; and a second cavity comprising a sorbent disposed upstream from the first cavity relative to the direction of mainstream smoke drawn through the filter.

The present invention provides a novel class of azadecalin compounds and methods of using the compounds as glucocorticoid receptor modulators.
Abstract:
A support block for a watercraft which can include a pontoon having a keel strip, comprises a curved upper surface for accommodating the bottom of the watercraft, wherein upper surface has a radius of curvature that is larger than the radius of curvature of the bottom of the watercraft, and the block is made from a material that will deform when loaded such that the upper surface will conform to the radius of the bottom of the watercraft. The upper surface of the block can have a notch for accommodating the keel strip.
Abstract:
In one embodiment, a system and methods for configuring data communications in a wireless communications system is provided. Based on location and capabilities information received from mobile communications devices and host services, relay services control the accessibility to certain data services, either enabling access or disabling access.
Abstract:
An integrated virtual market is provided that facilitates communication between the producers of a given commodity and the parties wishing to purchase such commodities. This system provides real-time updated information about local pricing being offered by those purchasers. In addition, those producers can post offers that can automatically be accepted by purchasers and have contracts automatically generated. An important consideration from a purchaser's prospective is minimizing the risk associated with making such transactions. Due to this, futures contracts are often obtained. The virtual market system of the present inventions automatically requests and obtains futures contracts to hedge the contracts being generated.
Abstract:
A system and method for receiving search criteria from a client; determining if the client has specified a set of user preferences for defining a search result presentation order when returning a plurality of search results, in response to uniquely identifying the client; and presenting the plurality of search results in the search result presentation order as defined by the user preferences, in response to determining the client has specified a set of user preferences.
Abstract:
A domestic combined heat and power system comprising a Stirling engine and water heater in the form of a supplementary burner. The exhaust gas from the Stirling engine is used to preheat combustible gas entering the Stirling engine and subsequently used to heat the water. The water heater has a helical water duct towards the periphery of a housing. Separate parts of this duct are heated, in series, by the exhaust gas from the Stirling engine and the supplementary burner firing radially outwardly through the helical duct.
