摘要: Methods and systems are provided for populating user related information, such as in forms at web sites. For example, a method can include providing a web site with information about a user during the front end of accessing the web site by the user. The information can be used to facilitate use of the web site by the user. A system for facilitating access of a web site by a user can comprise an ID provider that is configured to receive a request from a web site for information regarding a user, request information regarding the user from an information provider, and forward the information to the web site. By providing such information to the web site, log on, sign in, and/or registration with a web site can be done quickly, conveniently, and in a manner that is substantially less prone to errors.

摘要: Methods and devices are adapted for regulating fluid flow to and from a region of a patient's lung, such as to achieve a desired fluid flow dynamic to a lung region during respiration and/or to induce collapse in one or more lung regions. Pursuant to an exemplary procedure, an identified region of the lung is targeted for treatment. The targeted lung region is then bronchially isolated to regulate airflow into and/or out of the targeted lung region through one or more bronchial passageways that feed air to the targeted lung region.

摘要: This disclosure relates to reducing battery usage in handheld communication devices due to operation of variable managed features, such as a location determination feature and other features that consume variable amounts of time and power. The techniques of this disclosure include dynamically managing a power budget allocated to one or more variable managed features of the handheld communication device based on power consumption over time by the variable managed features. More specifically, the techniques include, for each variable managed feature, recalculating a frequency for performing power events based on an amount of remaining power after one or more power events. The techniques also include reallocating the power budget to the one or more variable managed features based on an amount of remaining power after one or more power events of the variable managed features, a pre-determined period of time, or reaching a threshold level of power consumption jitter.

摘要: A method for determining a height (i.e., elevation above ground level) at which a communication device having an electronic processor and a sensor is located may include obtaining a reference height of a first location, the reference height being a known height relative to ground level, the reference height having a corresponding reference pressure; obtaining, with the sensor, a pressure measurement at a second location; and calculating, with the electronic processor, a height at the second location based on the pressure measurement, the reference height, and the reference pressure. The height may also be based on temperature data, location data, motion data, and/or the like.

摘要: Devices, systems, and methods for suturing of body lumens allow the suturing of vascular puncture sites located at the distal end of a percutaneous tissue tract. An elongated articulated foot near a distal end of a shaft is inserted through the penetration and actuated so that the foot extends along the lumenal axis. The foot carries suturing attachment cuffs, and needles are advanced from the shaft through the vessel wall outside of the penetration and into engagement with the needle cuffs after the foot has been drawn proximally up against the endothelial surface of the blood vessel. The cross-section of the shaft within the tissue tract can be minimized by laterally deflecting the needles as they leave the shaft, while tapered depressions within the foot can guide the advancing needles into engagement with the cuffs. The cuffs lockingly engage the needles and can be withdrawn proximally along the needle paths and through the tissue tract so as to form a loop of suture across the puncture. The articulating foot may be realigned with the shaft and withdrawn proximally through the tissue tract without dilating the tissue tract.

摘要: Present systems and methods provide for adaptive job-size prediction that can enable the user of a scan-to-export function to obtain continuing feedback as original documents are being scanned, regarding the transferability of a scanned and processed data file. The compression method that is selected to process a scanned image is used to predict the output size for the associated data and to provide an estimated size for the job. The estimated size of the data being prepared for output is compared to the amount of storage space that is available at the target device and if the estimate exceeds available space, a signal is generated to terminate the scan or take other appropriate action. The user is also immediately notified if the transfer will fail for other reasons, such as the entry of an invalid target destination address or invalid user authentication.

摘要: A therapeutic device to release a therapeutic agent comprises a porous structure coupled to a container comprising a reservoir. The reservoir comprises a volume sized to release therapeutic amounts of the therapeutic agent for an extended time when coupled to the porous structure and implanted in the patient. The porous structure may comprise a first side coupled to the reservoir and a second side to couple to the patient to release the therapeutic agent. A plurality of interconnecting channels can extend from the first side to the second side so as to connect a first a plurality of openings on the first side with a second plurality of openings on the second side. Each of the openings on the first side can be connected to each of the openings on the second side with the plurality of interconnecting channels, such that the rate of release of the therapeutic agent can be substantially maintained when one or more of the openings is blocked, for example with particles, cells, bacteria or tissue when the device is implanted for an extended time. The length of the channels extending from the first side to the second side may comprise an effective length greater than a distance across the porous structure from the first side to the second side. The therapeutic device many comprise an expandable retention structure and an expandable reservoir, such that the device can be delivered from a lumen of a delivery device and expand when positioned in the patient. The therapeutic device may comprises a penetrable barrier to inject therapeutic agent into the device when implanted in the patient.
