A process and system for generating a pseudo-random number is presented. Input data having entropy is gathered in an Entropy Pool and transformed once by a cryptographic hash function. The transformed data forms the internal state of the pseudo-random number generator. The generator forms the output by applying a second cryptographic hash function to this internal state. Finally, the generator updates the internal state by inputting the current internal state and data from the Entropy Pool into a third cryptographic hash function. The output of the third hash function forms the new internal state of the pseudo-random number generator.

The improved blast furnace system comprises a blast furnace, a hot blast main for conveying a supply of hot blast to the blast furnace, a plurality of stoves for heating a supply of cold blast and generating the hot blast, a cold blast main for conveying a supply of cold blast to the plurality of stoves, and at least one cold blast preheater for heating a portion of the cold blast, that has been diverted to the preheater, into heated air and the heated air is mixed with the hot blast to temper the hot blast temperature.

The ratio of water to binder is less than 0.3, the light-weight aggregate is composed of a material that is hydrophobic and/or not hygroscopic, and the roofing tile has a density in the range of 1.6 g/cm3 to 1.9 g/cm3 after the hardening. The roofing tile has a thickness of 5 mm to 9 mm, preferably 7 mm to 8 mm, in the highly loaded regions, preferably in the region of the watercourse.
