The target network slice information includes information indicating network slices of the multiple network slices not supported in an area in which the communication device is located and a frequency specific configuration associated with the multiple target network slices. The method (900) includes transmitting (906) a second message to a radio network entity including the target network slice information and the associated frequency specific configuration.

One method includes determining that an update of a radio access capability for a first radio access technology is required based at least in part on whether to use a second radio access technology. The method includes switching to an idle state based on determining that the update of the radio access capability for the first radio access technology is required and transmitting a request message indicating that the update of the radio access capability for the first radio access technology is required in response to switching to the idle state, the request message further indicating to delete a stored radio access capability associated with the UE and obtain a new radio access capability associated with the UE.

One apparatus includes a first subscriber identity module (“SIM”), a second SIM, a processor and a transceiver that communicates with at least one communication network. The processor registers with a first communication network using the first SIM and registers with a second communication network using the second SIM. Here, the registration with the first communication network is associated with a first identifier, wherein registering with the second communication network includes indicating the first identifier to the second communication network upon determining that the first communication network and the second communication network are the same communication network.

One apparatus (1000) includes a processor (1005) that determines (1105) to collect data for a slice attribute of a network slice. Here, the slice attribute is a number of UEs using the network slice and/or a number of data sessions using the network slice. The processor (1005) requests (1110) a first collecting network function to report first usage data (e.g., roaming UE usage) for the network slice according to the slice attribute and requests (1115) a second collecting network function to report second usage data (e.g., non-roaming usage) for the network slice according to the slice attribute. The processor (1005) determines (1120) whether a quota associated with the slice attribute is reached. The apparatus (1000) includes a transceiver (1025) that sends (1125) a notification to a network function in response to the quota being met.

The method includes, in response to the user equipment having moved from the first public land mobile network to the second public land mobile network within the predetermined period of time, determining a likelihood factor that indicates a likelihood that the user equipment moved from the first public land mobile network to the second public land mobile network. The method includes, in response to the likelihood factor being less than a predetermined threshold, transmitting an authentication response message indicating a failed authentication.

The method includes determining a radio access type of the multiple radio access types for transmitting the V2X communication via V2X communication. The method includes selecting a cell that supports V2X resource management for the V2X communication. The method includes requesting resources via the cell for transmitting the V2X communication.

摘要: A method and apparatus provides for establishing a communication connection between the network entity and the user equipment, while the user equipment has established and is maintaining an alternative communication connection with another network entity associated with a second one of the multiple networks. Flow management information is received from a shared common control element of the user equipment, which manages parallel user equipment activity including a flow of information between the user equipment and each of the multiple networks via the respective communication connections. The user equipment is communicated with in a manner which is consistent with the flow management information received from the shared common control element. The shared common control element includes one or more away patterns, that are each shared with a respective one of the first one and the second one of the multiple networks, where each of the one or more away patterns define periods of time during which the corresponding one of the first one and the second one of the multiple networks should avoid scheduling communications with the user equipment.
