In a data transmission method, a first communication device obtains a data packet in a first direction, and obtains a data packet in a second direction. The two data packet correspond to a same service. If the first direction is an uplink direction, the second direction is a downlink direction; or if the first direction is a downlink direction, the second direction is an uplink direction. The first communication device determines a target transmission delay in the second direction based on a total transmission delay requirement and a time point at which the data packet in the first direction is sent. The first communication device sends the data packet in the second direction based on the target transmission delay in the second direction. The total transmission delay requirement is a sum of a transmission delay requirement in the first direction and a transmission delay requirement in the second direction.

A data transmission channel processing method, an apparatus and a system, the method comprising determining, by a session management network element, that a data flow of a packet data unit (PDU) session of a terminal needs to be offloaded, where the PDU session is established by using a 3rd generation partnership project (3GPP) access technology and a non-3GPP access technology, and determining, by the session management network element, to insert an offloading device into a data path of the PDU session, where the data path of the PDU session includes a data transmission channel in the 3GPP access technology or a data transmission channel in the non-3GPP access technology.

This application relates to the field of communications technologies, and discloses a network authentication triggering system, method and a related device. The method includes: receiving a first message from a terminal, where the first message carries first identity information and identifier information, the first identity information is encrypted identity information, and the identifier information is used to identify an encryption manner of the first identity information; and sending a second message to a first security function entity, where the second message is used to trigger authentication for the terminal, and the second message carries the identifier information. This application provides a solution of triggering an authentication process when identity information is encrypted.

A method for selecting a PDN gateway PGW is disclosed. The method includes: receiving, by a 3GPP AAA server, a request type indication sent by a PDN gateway PGW, where the request type indication is used for indicating a type of a procedure executed by a user equipment UE or is used for indicating whether an IP address is preserved; and selecting, by the 3GPP AAA server, a target PGW according to the request type indication. Embodiments of the present invention further provide a 3GPP AAA server, a PDN gateway PGW, and a user equipment. By adopting the embodiments of the present invention, a dynamic adjustment of a PGW can be implemented, and an unnecessary PGW reselection procedure is avoided

Embodiments of the present invention provide a network name processing method and a mobility management network element. The network name processing method includes receiving a network name sent by a mobile switching centre/visitor location register MSC/VLR. The received network name is processed. The mobility management information message is sent to a terminal and according to a processing result based on the processed received network name to enable the terminal to display the network name of the registered network of the terminal. According to the embodiments of the present invention, the terminal always display the network name of the registered network of the terminal, thereby ensuring consistency in the network name display of the terminal, and improving user experience.

This application provides a network handover method and an apparatus. Before a terminal device is handed over from a first network to a second network, the terminal device sets up a first tunnel to a first interworking device, where a communication identifier, of the terminal device, in the first tunnel is a first identifier the first identifier is an identifier used in the first network by the terminal device, and the first interworking device is an interface device in the first network and oriented toward a network other than the first network. After the terminal device is handed over from the first network to the second network, the terminal device sends an update request to the first interworking device, where the update request to update the communication identifier to a second identifier, and the second identifier is an identifier used in the second network by the terminal device.

A radio resource adjustment method includes: receiving a network quality optimization request, sent by a path planning device, carrying a travel path and an estimated moment corresponding to a target location on the travel path through which a mobile terminal passes; matching the travel path with a coverage area of a base station, to determine a base station set to which a signal covering the travel path belongs; generating an optimization policy including configuration information for configuring a radio resource of the base station set based on the corresponding estimated moment; and sending an adjustment command to the network element management device based on the optimization policy, so that the network element management device instructs, based on the adjustment command, a target base station in the base station set to adjust allocation of the radio resource at the estimated moment.

A method and an apparatus for determining a status of a terminal device, and a device are disclosed. The method includes: obtaining, by an access and mobility management network element, an access type used by the terminal device to access a network, where the access type includes at least one of 3rd generation partnership project (3GPP) access and non-3GPP access; and determining, by the access and mobility management network element based on a status of the terminal device in the access type, the status of the terminal device, where the status of the terminal device includes at least one of a loss-of-connectivity state and an available-to-connectivity state. By using the method according to the embodiments of the present disclosure, accuracy of determining the status of the terminal device is improved.
