摘要: In a hydrogen gas detection device, light emitted from a light source is irradiated onto a hydrogen sensor whose reflectance (optical reflectance) varies upon contact with hydrogen gas, and the light transmitted through the hydrogen sensor or reflected by a reflective film of the hydrogen sensor is received by an optical sensor. On the basis of the signal output from the optical sensor and indicative of the amount of light received, the hydrogen gas detection device detects leakage of hydrogen gas.

摘要: A working object cutting method capable of cutting a working object precisely is provided. The working object cutting method comprises irradiating a working object 1 with a laser beam while locating a converging point at the working object, so as to form a reformed region in the working object 1 along a reformed-region forming line 15 set at a predetermined distance inside from an outer edge E of the working object 1 along the outer edge, forming a cutting reformed region in the working object 1 along a cutting-scheduled line 5, and cutting the working object 1 along the cutting-scheduled line 5 from a cutting reformed region acting as a start point. Thus forming the working object 1 with the reformed region along the reformed-region forming line 15 set at a predetermined distance inside from the outer edge E of the working object 1 allows the formed reformed region or fissures extending therefrom to inhibit fissures generated in an outer edge portion 25 of the working object 1 from extending to the inside even if a cutting stress is applied to the working object 1 when cutting the working object 1.

摘要: A hydrogen sensor includes a thin film layer formed over a substrate of resin or the like, and a catalyst layer formed on a surface of the thin film layer. When contacted by leaked hydrogen gas, the catalyst layer quickly hydrogenates the thin film layer through its catalytic action, thereby causing a change in optical reflectance of the thin film layer. The hydrogen sensor includes a protective film formed at least either between the substrate and the thin film layer or on a surface of the catalyst layer.

摘要: A light-control membrane (11) is joined to a first surface (10a) of an electrolyte membrane (10), and hydrogen gas is supplied to a second surface (10b) side of the electrolyte membrane (10). If the electrolyte membrane (10) has a defect (10c), such as a crack or a pinhole, the hydrogen gas leaks through the defect (10c) to the first surface (10a) of the electrolyte membrane (10). In result, the light-membrane (11) is hydrogenated by the leaked hydrogen gas, and the reflectance of the light-control membrane (11) is locally changed. This makes it possible to visually spot the presence of the defect (10c).

摘要: A hydrogen gas visualization device comprises a hydrogen sensor having a thin film layer formed on the surface of a substrate and a catalyst layer formed on the surface of the thin film layer which, when contacted by hydrogen gas contained in an atmosphere, hydrogenates the thin film layer and thereby changes the optical reflectance of the thin film layer, and one or more sensor faces provided with the hydrogen sensor. The hydrogen gas visualization device visualizes, on the sensor faces, the distribution of hydrogen gas contained in the atmosphere contacting the hydrogen sensor and thereby visualizes the existence and flow of the hydrogen gas.

摘要: A laser processing apparatus which can correct the fluctuation in laser light emitting direction among laser heads is provided. In the laser processing apparatus 1, a laser head 13 is held and cooled by a cooling jacket 11, and thus can be operated stably. Also, even if the emitting direction of laser light L fluctuates when replacing the laser head 13 because of its damage or the like, a regulator 15 can adjusts the position and inclination of the cooling jacket 11 with respect to an optical system main part 4, so that the emitting direction of the laser light L can coincide with the optical axis of the optical system main part 4. Thus, the laser processing apparatus 1 can easily correct the fluctuation in the laser light emitting direction among the laser heads 13.
