    摘要: A pet grooming tool, for use with a furry pet such as a dog or cat having loose hair and non-loose hair, is adapted for removing the loose hair from the pet. The grooming tool comprises an elongate handle portion extending generally along a handle axis, and a pet engageable portion secured to the handle portion. The pet engageable portion includes a blade portion and a plurality of teeth. The blade portion includes a blade edge. The teeth extend from the blade edge. The pet engageable portion is secured to the handle portion in a manner so that pulling the handle portion generally along the handle axis while the pet engageable portion is in engagement with the pet causes the blade portion to engage the loose hair of the pet and pull it from the pet without cutting or pulling the non-loose hair from the pet.

    摘要: Aqueous-dispersed polymer compositions are prepared comprising polymerized therein (a) monovinylidene aromatic monomer (e.g., styrene), (b) acyclic conjugated diene monomer (e.g., butadiene), and (c) ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid monomer(s) (e.g. acrylic and or fumaric acid) and are further benefited by polymerizing therein (d) a cyanoalkyl ester of an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid. The aqueous-dispersed polymers can also comprise polymerized therein an ethylenically unsaturated nitrile monomer such as acrylonitrile. The use of the cyanoalkyl ester, such as 2-cyanoethylmethacrylate (2-CEMA), results in latex polymers with improved performance in paper coating formulations. In particular, paper coatings can be prepared which have improved performance (i.e., wet and dry pick resistance) in offset printing applications.

    摘要: Fasteners, and related methods, for securing deck boards to a support joist are disclosed. In one embodiment, the fastener comprises a base portion and a cap portion on the base portion. In some embodiments, the base portion includes an opening formed therethrough for receiving a securing device, and legs extending from an upper surface of the base portion and between edges of adjacent deck boards to define a spacing between the adjacent deck boards. The cap portion can include an opening for receiving the securing device therethrough to secure the fastener to the support joist. In addition, the cap portion may include legs extending around the base portion and comprising teeth extending therefrom that bite into grooves formed in the edges of the adjacent deck boards when the securing device secures the fastener to the support joist, thereby securing the deck boards to the support joist.
