In one respect, a cobalt layer is formed on a silicon-containing substrate. A metal layer is formed on the cobalt layer. A CoSi layer is formed through heating. Un-reacted cobalt and metal from the cobalt and metal layers are removed. A silicon cap layer is formed on the CoSi layer. A CoSi2 layer is then formed through heating, the CoSi2 layer being formed upward into the silicon cap layer.

The photoreactive polymer exhibits excellent thermal stability since it includes a multi-cyclicmulticyclic compound having a high glass transition temperature at as its main chain. In addition, the photoreactive polymer has a relatively large vacancy so that a photoreactive group can move relatively freely in the main chain therein. As a result, a slow photoreaction rate, which is a disadvantage of a conventional polymer material used to form an alignment layer for a liquid crystal display device, can be overcome.

    摘要: Provided are a passive optical network system and a method of transmitting a broadcasting signal in the same system. A central office (CO) generates a broadcasting signal and a downstream optical data signal using a coding method guaranteeing a run-length, multiplexes the downstream optical data signal and the broadcasting signal, and transmits the multiplexed downstream optical data signal and broadcasting signal. A remote node (RN) transmits the multiplexed downstream optical data signal and broadcasting signal received from the CO to one or more optical network units (ONUs). A gain medium, which is located on a transmission line between the CO and the RN, amplifies the broadcasting signal using the downstream optical data signal as a pump light source. Accordingly, a high gain can be obtained by amplifying the broadcasting signal using the gain medium located on the transmission line without a separate pump light source.
