摘要： A method, computer program product and system for reducing the boot time of a client device in a client device/data center environment. A profile of the client device, which includes information regarding the usage characteristics of the client device, may be created. A confidence level indicating the likelihood that the client device is going to be booted may be determined based on the client device's profile. The confidence level and the utilization of the resources of the server blades in the data center may be examined in determining whether to have an appropriate server blade perform an action involved in booting the operating system of the client device. If the appropriate server blade performs such an action, e.g., pre-booting the client device's operating system, prior to the user of the client device attempting to boot its operating system, then the boot time may be reduced.

摘要： A method for providing an image of software installed on a computer system is disclosed. The method includes the steps of deconstructing the image into at least one portion and creating at least one module from the at least one portion of the image. The deconstructing step can include the steps of scanning an image and identifying at least one portion of the image to be modularized. The creating step can include the steps of extracting the at least one portion of the image identified to be modularized and generating at least one module from the extracted portion of the image. The modules that are created in accordance with the present invention can be formatted for use in a new image or part of a new image to be used with a software program such as with a hardware-independent imaging tool. Furthermore, the modules can be used with hardware-independent technologies and can facilitate management of image inventory and facilitate deployment of images to new computer systems with different hardware configurations. Furthermore, the method is simple, cost effective and capable of being easily adapted to existing technology.

摘要： Disclosed is a personal computer system which includes a central processing unit (CPU) coupled to a direct access storage device (DASD), a random access memory (RAM), and a LAN controller. A flash memory module is coupled to the CPU and an input/output (IO) bus and includes a basic input output system (BIOS) stored therein. The BIOS is effective for responding to the energization of the computer system by initiating a power on self test (POST). The BIOS is further operative on completion of the POST for transferring a portion of BIOS from the module to the RAM and for transferring control of the of the computer system to the BIOS portion. The portion of BIOS is operative to load a protected mode operating system (OS) into RAM and transfer control to the OS. The system further includes a logic circuit coupled to the flash memory module and the IO bus. A communication subsystem is coupled to the IO bus, the logic circuit and the flash memory for allowing the remote computer to access the BIOS in flash memory while the protected mode OS is running.

The central information handling device generates a central image for a central display. The central display is in communication with a plurality of secondary devices communicating with a plurality of secondary displays. Each secondary device communicates with a distinct secondary display. The secondary generation module generates a secondary image for two or more of the secondary displays of the secondary devices. The central display is viewable concurrently by users of each secondary display.

The local cloud environment may replicate at least a portion of the cloud computing environment and may be operated from the stored cloud computing data.

摘要： Apparatus, systems, and methods provide digital voice call redirection. A configuration module associates a phone number with a first identifier of a first voice terminal device and a second identifier of a second voice terminal device provided by an address module. A location module determines whether the first device is within a predefined proximity to the second device, such as by detecting connectivity between the devices, over a personal area network (“PAN”). A routing module redirects a digital voice call to a call module of the first device using the first identifier when the first device is not within the predefined proximity to the second device. Otherwise the routing module directs the call to a call module of the second device using the second identifier.
