摘要: The present invention provides an arithmetic unit comprising an input register for storing externally input digital data as a P-bit digital data, an output register for storing a Q-bit digital data, and an output bit selecting means. The output bit selecting means is operable to receive the P-bit digital data which is output from the input register as a first input data, and the Q-bit digital data which is output from the output register as a second input data. The output big selecting means is further operable to select bits, values of which bits are to be output, among bits of the first input data and bits of the second input data, in accordance with a control data which is input from outside. The output bit selecting means is still further operable to output Q-bit digital data comprising the values of the selected bits to the output register. This arithmetic unit is suitable for being employed in an image processing system to perform the multiplexing processing or the demultiplexing processing for codes at high speeds.

摘要: A sequential vibration preventer for a ball hitting implement in which impact vibration that is generated when a ball is hit is transmitted to the human body from the impact generation source via the ball hitting implement. The sequential vibration preventer is detachably mounted on a portion of the implement where the vibration amplitude is large, such as the frame shaft or grip, so that the impact vibration is attenuated, and injury to the body is prevented. A ring body consisting of a soft material that has extendability or viscoelasticity is provided, and a plurality of vibrators are sequentially embedded in the circumferential direction in a single ring configuration or in a multiple ring configuration in the interior of the ring body. Alternatively, a belt body consisting of a soft material that has extendability or viscoelasticity or of a flexible material that is non-extendable, is provided, and a plurality of vibrators are embedded in the interior of the belt body so that these vibrators are sequentially disposed in one direction in a single row or in a multiple rows. A two-sided adhesive tape is disposed on either the outer surface or inner surface of the belt body.

摘要: The disclosed is a method of producing two organic ruthenium compounds; i.e., bis(ethylcyclopentadienyl)ruthenium and (alkylcyclopentadienyl)cyclopentadienylruthenium, which are useful for producing thin film through CVD. In one aspect, the invention provides a method for producing bis(ethylcyclopentadienyl)ruthenium, including hydrogenating bis(acetylcyclopentadienyl)ruthenium in the presence of a catalyst. In another aspect, the invention provides a method of producing (alkylcyclopentadienyl)cyclopentadienylruthenium, including acylating bis(cyclopentadienyl)ruthenium with carboxylic anhydride in the presence of phosphoric acid as a catalyst, to thereby produce (acylcyclopentadienyl)cyclopentadienylruthenium, and reducing the (acylcyclopentadienyl)cyclopentadienyl ruthenium.

摘要: In an apparatus and method of applying a protecting film to a semiconductor wafer, a semiconductor wafer is placed on top of a table, a protecting film is pressed onto the wafer by a press roller biased toward the table, the table is moved to apply the protecting film to the wafer, a tension roller arranged upstream from the press roller applies a tensile force to the protecting film in a direction opposite the feeding direction of the film, the tensile force of the tension roller is first set at a relatively high value at the beginning of the application of the protecting film to place the protecting film in a stretched state and then at a relatively small value during the application of the protecting film to prevent the portion of the protecting film which has not yet been applied from coming into contact with the wafer, and then, after the protecting film has been applied to the wafer, a cutting blade is used to cut the protecting film to match the shape of the semiconductor wafer by first moving the cutting blade in the Y direction to cut from an angular portion C.sub.1 of the orientation flat portion to an angular portion C.sub.2, then rotating the table while moving the cutter and the table to align the cutting direction of the cutting blade with the tangential direction of the circumferential portion of the semiconductor wafer, and then rotating the table to cut the protecting film along the circumferential portion of the semiconductor wafer.

摘要: A method of forming a diamond film on a substrate wherein hydrogen, a hydrocarbon series gas, an inert gas, an organic compound series gas or a mixture of such gases is introduced into a vacuum vessel to contact a substrate and carbon is evaporated by are discharge at a carbon cathode while applying a voltage to the substrate to deposit carbon on the substrate thus forming a diamond film on the substrate. A silicon series gas, a germanium series gas or a mixture thereof may be also introduced into the vessel with the foregoing gas or gases. While the carbon is being deposited on the substrate, thermoelectrons may also be supplied onto the substrate, and, further, high frequency discharge may be generated in a space between the substrate and the cathodes.

摘要: An articulation detector for articulators of the kind wherein condylar elements mounted on a lower jaw member and glenoid fossae assemblies of an upper jaw member are made of a conductive material, comprises an electric power source, a luminous element and a pair of detecting electrode, all of which are connected in series. The electrodes are adapted to be connected to the lower jaw member and an incisal pin mounted on the upper jaw member of the articulator when the detector is in use. The adjustment of the articulator or prosthetic appliances may be detected by observing the light emitted from the luminous element.

摘要: A test device is disclosed having a display and a graphical user interface (GUI) that provides guidance to a user by displaying first and second icons for representing first and second actions to be taken by the test device upon selecting the first and the second icons, respectively, by the user. To provide the guidance to the user, the second icon has graphical features indicative of the current status of the first action. For cases where the first action is a test that failed, the second action is highlighted thereby guiding the user to take the second action in response to the failed test. At least one of the graphical features of the second icon is indicative of whether the second icon is currently selectable by the user.

摘要: A remote testing device, including a cable modem circuit, requests an IP address from a remote cable modem termination system (CMTS) and receives back IP connection information including adaptive equalizer coefficients, which represent compensation and/or correction for transmission path noise. Using the equalizer coefficients, the remote testing device can determine a phase response, phase angles for each frequency increment over a channel bandwidth, and group delay.
