摘要: When a metastable austenitic stainless steel strip with a value Md(N), which is calculated from a composition, of 20–100 is ring-rolled to a steel belt, the relationship of −0.3913T+0.5650Md(N)+60.46ε≧65.87 is established among a material temperature T, an equivalent strain ε and the value Md(N). Due to the controlled rolling, a stainless steel belt for a continuously variable transmission is bestowed with fatigue properties similar or superior to those of a 18%-Ni maraging steel belt. The value Md(N) is defined by the equation of Md(N)=580−520C−2Si−16Mn−16Cr−23Ni−300N−10Mo, and the equivalent strain ε is defined by the equation of ε=√{square root over (4(1n(1−R))2/3)} (R: reduction). Furthermore, the steel belt is stabilized in its quality and profile by confining a variation ΔT of the material temperature T within a range of ±6.4° C.

摘要: A radiotherapy apparatus includes an irradiation head section, an X-ray source section and a sensor array section. The irradiation head section irradiates therapeutic radiation to a therapeutic field of a target substance. The X-ray source section irradiates diagnostic X-rays to the therapeutic field of the target subject. The sensor array section detects the diagnostic X-rays which have transmitted the target subject, and outputs diagnostic X-ray image data based on the detected diagnostic X-rays. The sensor array section moves in conjunction with movement of the irradiation head section.

摘要: When binary image data is outputted from a FIFO buffer, a first black pixel counting circuit counts black pixels in a 3.times.3 matrix having a target pixel at its center to produce a count value BK2. Similarly, a second black pixel counting circuit counts black pixels in a 17.times.9 matrix to produce a count value BK1. Based on the count values BK1 and BK2, a value indicating the dot diameter is outputted from the output value table while a look-up table and the output value table are sequentially referred to. Setting is so made that the dot diameter becomes smaller as the count values BK1 and BK2 decrease.

摘要: A pedestal clamp circuit fixes the pedestal level of an input video signal to a predetermined voltage. A pulse signal inserting circuit inserts a pulse signal, having a predetermined peak value, in part of the video signal partially corresponding to the blanking period whose pedestal level is fixed by the pedestal clamp circuit. A CCD delay element delays the video signal, in the blanking period of which the pulse signal is partially inserted, by one horizontal period. A variable gain amplifier amplifies the video signal, which is delayed by the CCD delay element by one horizontal period. An automatic control loop detects the level of the pulse signal inserted in the video signal, thereby detecting the attenuation amount of the video signal attenuated by the CCD delay element, and controls the gain of the variable gain amplifier in accordance with the detected attenuation amount.

摘要: A plurality of thermocouples are embedded close to each other with individually different depth in a temperature detecting block. One or more of the temperature detecting block are attached to the surface of a thermal sensor roll. When the thermal sensor roll is held in contact with a metal strip being rolled, temperatures in the thermal sensor roll are measured at a plurality of points. The temperature of the metal strip in contact with the surface of the thermal sensor roll is calculated from the graduation of a temperature in the thermal sensor roll along a direction vertical to the surface of the thermal sensor roll, without the influence of disturbances. The obtained temperature value of the metal strip being rolled is compared with an experimentally obtained temperature of heat streak formation, to predict the formation of heat streaks with high accuracy.

摘要: An image processing apparatus includes an edge-portion detector, an edge-width detector, and a tone correction unit. The edge-portion detector detects a pixel of an edge portion by determining whether or not each of pixels constituting image data which has been input is a pixel which is included in the edge portion. The edge-width detector detects, for the pixel of the edge portion detected by the edge-portion detector, an edge width which is a width of the edge portion. When the edge width detected by the edge-width detector is smaller than a value which is set in advance, the tone correction unit performs tone correction differently in accordance with the detected edge width.
