摘要： An image forming apparatus includes a member to be charged for carrying an electrostatic image, a contact-charging means for charging the member to be charged in contact with the member to be charged, and a developing means for developing the electrostatic image carried on the member to be charged. The developing means includes a developer for developing the electrostatic image comprising a toner and hydrophobic inorganic fine powder. The hydrophobic inorganic fine powder not only improves the fluidity of the developer and adjusts the chargeability of the developer but also prevents difficulties due to interaction between the member to be charged and the contact charging means in the presence of residual developer, such as damages of the member to be charged and toner-sticking onto the member to be charged.

摘要： A developer for developing electrostatic latent images is constituted by a toner, and negatively chargeable spherical resin particles having an average particle size of 0.03-1.0 micron and a volume resistivity of 10.sup.6 -10.sup.12 ohm.cm. The toner may comprise toner particles and hydrophobic inorganic fine powder, which is generally used in a larger amount than the negatively chargeable spherical resin particles. The negatively chargeable spherical resin particles function to provide a toner image which is faithful to an electrostatic latent image formed on a photosensitive member while preventing toner-sticking onto the photosensitive member preferably in combination with a contact-charging means for charging the photosensitive member.

摘要： Processed meat products comprising a thermally treated, uniform mixture of a meat and a konjac mannan gel. The konjac mannan gel is obtained by steaming a sol of konjac mannan gel. The meat product has a reduced calorific value and a high content of fibers derived from the konjac mannan gel. The meat product is rather tender and has a good feeling upon eating without involving slipness. A method for making such meat products is also described.

摘要： In an image forming system, an image-bearing member having a photoconductor layer comprising an Si-based non-single crystal material is charged at a relatively low potential of 250 to 600 volts by a contact charging member in the presence of electroconductive fine powder. An electrostatic latent image formed on the image-bearing member is developed with a magnetic toner which includes magnetic toner particles comprising at least a binder resin and a magnetic iron oxide, and inorganic fine powder and electroconductive fine powder present at the surface of the magnetic toner particles. The magnetic toner has a weight-average particle size of 3-10 μm and an average circularity of 0.950 to 0.995, and contains 0.05 to 3.00% of isolated iron-containing particles.

摘要： There is provided a swing type multi-way switch in which light irradiated from a light source built therein sufficiently illuminates substantially all over the rear surface of an operation knob. The switch comprises: a box-like operation knob; a square frame-shaped holder disposed in the inside of the operation knob; a case having an outer square tube-like member and an inner square tube-like member coaxially formed; and a base plate on which a light source and a plurality of switch elements are to be mounted. The operation knob is rotatably supported by the holder disposed in the inside of the operation knob, and the holder is rotatably supported by the inner square tube-like member of the case by a second axis for rotating movement orthogonal to the axis for rotating movement of the operation knob. The side wall of the operation knob and the side wall of the holder are disposed in a groove formed between the outer square tube-like member and the inner square tube-like member, and the light source is disposed on substantially the central portion of the inner square tube-like member.

摘要： A toner is comprised of a binder resin, a colorant and a wax. The binder resin has a polycarbonate resin in an amount of from 0.1% by weight to 50.0% by weight and a resin other than the polycarbonate resin in an amount of from 50.0% by weight to 99.9% by weight, based on the weight of the binder resin. In molecular weight distribution as measured by gel permeation chromatography of tetrahydrofuran-soluble matter, the toner contains in an amount of 15.0% by weight or less based on the weight of the toner a component which has in its structure a repeating unit of the polycarbonate resin and is contained in components having a molecular weight of 1,000 or less.
