摘要: A technique for accessing an electronic commerce function (ECF) is provided. A first signal identifying an entity and an ECF associated with the entity is transmitted to a user from a contact list service. The user selects the ECF, causing a second signal indicating the selection to be transmitted to the contact list service. In response to receipt of the second signal, the contact list service transmits a third signal. The third signal identifies a network address associated with an electronic commerce service provider for providing and/or facilitating the ECF. The third signal also identifies information associated with the entity. The third signal, either directly or indirectly, is operable to cause a fourth signal to be transmitted to the user from the service provider. The fourth signal includes information associated with invoking the ECF and is based upon the information associated with the entity included in the third signal.

摘要: Operation commences with the cellular network infrastructure setting up a forward link and a reverse link with a cellular mobile station. The cellular network infrastructure transmits signals to the cellular mobile station on the forward link and receives signals from the cellular mobile station on the reverse link. The cellular network infrastructure monitors the quality of the reverse link. When the reverse link quality level meets a reverse link lost criteria, the cellular network infrastructure enters reverse link recovery mode of operation in which the transmit power of the forward link is increased in an attempt to recover the reverse link. During the reverse link recovery mode of operation, the cellular network infrastructure may determine that the reverse link quality meets a reverse link recovered criteria. When the reverse link quality meets the reverse link recovery criteria, the cellular network infrastructure exits the reverse link recovery mode of operation for the cellular mobile station and resumes normal power control operations. When the cellular network infrastructure determines that the reverse link recovery mode of operations fail, the cellular network infrastructure ceases forward link transmissions to the cellular mobile station and the call is dropped.

摘要: A method and system for logging messages in a test environment. Devices that display, output, store, or transmit log messages are instantiated as objects to log messages sent from a testing application. The testing application requests that a message be logged by a logger. The logger passes a formatted log message to a publisher. The publisher packages the log message in a trace object which is then published to each device that has requested messages of a type including the log message. The testing application need not be recompiled to cause log messages to be logged in a different manner.

摘要: The majority of applications for head mounted display (HMD) users, irrespective of whether they are for short-term, long-term, low vision, augmented reality, etc. yield a conflicting set of tradeoffs between user comfort and minimal fatigue and strain during use, ease of attachment, minimizing intrusiveness and aesthetics which must be concurrently balanced with and are often in conflict with providing an optical vision system that provides the user with a wide field of view and high image resolution whilst also offering a large exit pupil for eye placement with sufficient eye clearance. Further, individual users' needs vary as do their needs with the general task at-hand, visual focus, and various regions-of-interest within their field of view. To address these issues, it is necessary to provide a high performance optical system, eyepiece design, and system features which overcome these limitations.

摘要: For users exploiting near-to-eye (NR2I) displays for augmented reality and/or correction of low vision then the user is typically going to wear the immersive or non-immersive NR2I displays for specific tasks, for specific visual environments, etc. and hence there is an issue of repeatedly attaching and removing the NR2I display. Further, in the majority of applications irrespective of whether for short-term, long-term, low vision, augmented reality, etc. there is a conflicting tradeoff between user comfort, ease of attachment, minimizing intrusiveness and aesthetics. Accordingly, a means of pivotably attaching and supporting a NR2I display is provided wherein the pivotable mounts may be permanently attached, attached, or demountably attached to a frame which may include for some user's prescription lenses.
