Disclosed is a cholestasis ameliorant containing tauroursodeoxycholic acid, which is more excellent in solubility than ursodeoxycholic acid, as the active ingredient. The ameliorant is useful for the treatment of intrahepatic cholestasis due to drug-induced hepatopathy, viral hepatitis or the like and the treatment of cholestasis occurring after surgical operation for the treatment of obstructive jaundice.
Abstract:
An optical receiving method utilizing polarization diversity is disclosed in which first and second reference lightwaves having different frequencies and having polarization planes substantially perpendicular to each other, are combined with a signal lightwave to form a combined lightwave. The combined lightwave is subjected to heterodyne detection to obtain a detection signal and the detection signal is separated into first and second intermediate-frequency signals having different carrier frequencies. The first and second intermediate-frequency signals are converted into first and second baseband signals, respectively, and the first and second baseband signals are added to obtain an output signal.
Abstract:
A supporting mechanism for a movable member of a linear pulse motor in which a magnetic flux is generated in a gap defined between opposing faces of a stator and a movable member so that the movable member is movable parallel to the opposing face of the stator along a linear passage. The supporting mechanism includes a pair of holding members disposed above the stator; a plurality of first rolling members, rotatably held in the holding members to be in rolling contact with the movable member and the stator and to form the gap, for movably supporting the movable member; a pair of guide members, opposingly disposed on the stator across the linear passage, for defining opposite sides of the linear passage; and a plurality of second rolling members, rotatably held in the holding member to be in rolling contact with the guide members and opposite lateral edges of the movable member.
Abstract:
An optical star coupler having a biconically tapered optical star coupler inserted and suspended in a protection tube and the method for manufacturing the same are disclosed. The manufacturing method provides that an optical fiber bundle is inserted into a protection tube such as hollow glass tube, then the optical fiber bundle is twisted and pulled while it is indirectly heated through the protection tube, thereby forming a twisting, fusing and pulling portion. Both ends of the protection tube are then sealed with an adhesive agent to fix the optical fiber bundle to the protection tube. This optical star coupler can be constructed so as to be connected in tandem without any splicing. The optical star coupler of the present invention, in the case of an optical star coupler using multi-mode optical fibers, and particularly in the case of one equally divided optical star coupler using single-mode optical fiber, also provides low insertion loss, less power deviation and low manufacturing costs.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to address-information changing and allows for changing automatically address information registered with a communication destination. Upon receiving a change notification transmitted from a communication terminal device including a mobile phone or the like with changed profile information, address information relating to a source-communication terminal device is changed in a destination-communication terminal device including another mobile phone or the like and a response notification indicating a result of the change is transmitted. Subsequently, the communication terminal device with the changed profile information can change the address information of the communication destination and confirm the changing of the address information. Further, the address information can be changed automatically and the changing can be confirmed automatically.
