The present invention relates to Li—Ni-based composite oxide particles comprising Mn, and Co and/or Al, wherein Co and Al are uniformly dispersed within the particles, and Mn is present with a gradient of its concentration in a radial direction of the respective particles such that a concentration of Mn on a surface of the respective particles is higher than that at a central portion thereof. The Li—Ni-based composite oxide particles can be produced by allowing an oxide and a hydroxide comprising Mn to mechanically adhere to Li—Ni-based oxide comprising Co and/or Al; and then heat-treating the obtained material at a temperature of not lower than 400° C. and not higher than 1,000° C. The Li—Ni-based composite oxide particles of the present invention are improved in thermal stability and alkalinity.

It is an object of the present invention to provide a washing machine capable of advantageously sanitizing a boot with cleaning air. A tubular member (25) of a boot attachment (30) is inserted in the boot (70) with a sufficient clearance, and an upper end portion (43) of the tubular member (25) is exposed from a top (70B) of the boot (70). A second lower vent (34) provided in a lower portion of the tubular member (25) is directed to a toe portion (70C) in the boot (70), and a first intermediate vent (35) and a second intermediate vent (36) are provided in a vertically intermediate portion of the tubular member (25). Cleaning air supplied into a drum (8) of the washing machine is smoothly introduced into the tubular member (25) of the boot attachment (30) by the upper end portion (43) to flow down through the tubular member (25). The cleaning air flows out of the tubular member (25) through the first intermediate vent (35), the second intermediate vent (36) and the second lower vent (34) to spread inside the boot (70). Thus, the inside of the boot (70) is sanitized with the cleaning air.

At a time of adjustment, an adjustment target mark is located so as to be slightly shifted in a faraway direction relative to a subject position where a subject is shot. The adjustment target mark is taken by the respective optical units, and images taken thereby are analyzed to find a clip area of each optical unit. The clip area has a predetermined size and the center thereof is positioned at the image of the adjustment target mark. The respective clip areas are stored in a correction memory of the multi-eye image pickup device. At a time of subject shooting, an image of the stored clip area is clipped from a shooting image taken by each optical unit.
