Abstract:
A recording medium according an aspect of the present disclosure has recorded therein a main video stream where a main video has been encoded, and a sub-video stream where a sub-video, that is to be superimposed on the main video and displayed, has been encoded. The sub-video stream includes bitmap data indicating a design of the sub-video and palette data specifying the display color of the design. The palette data includes first palette data for a first luminance dynamic range (SDR), and second palette data for a second luminance dynamic range (HDR) that is broader than the first dynamic range.
Abstract:
A method for providing a video includes: (a) acquiring a first main video captured of a first capture space, and a second main video captured of a second capture space including a space other than the first capture space; (b) generating a wide-angle video by combining the plurality of main videos acquired in step (a); (c) acquiring user preference information via a network; (d) calculating a region to be cropped which is a region of the wide-angle video and smaller than the area captured in the wide-angle video, based on the user preference information acquired in step (c); (e) cropping the wide-angle video into the cropping region; and (f) providing, to a user, a cropped video generated by cropping the wide-angle video.
Abstract:
A decoding method of a video stream, which is encoded video information. The video stream includes a base video stream, and an enhanced video stream, which is a video stream to enhance luminance of the base video stream, and a describer that contains the combination information of the base video stream and the enhanced video stream. The decoding method includes acquiring the describer, and identifying the combination of the base video steam and the enhanced video stream. The decoding method also includes generating base video information by decoding the base video stream, generating enhanced video information by decoding the enhanced video stream, generating decoded video information based on the base video stream and the enhanced video stream, and outputting the decoded video information.
Abstract:
A recording medium includes a video stream of a standard-luminance range and a video stream of high-luminance range, which are used selectively in accordance with a playback environment. The recording medium also includes a subtitle stream of the standard-luminance range and a subtitle stream of the high-luminance range, which are used selectively in accordance with the playback environment. A playlist file includes a management region where playback control information relating to a main stream is stored, and includes an extended region. The management region stores first playback control information specifying playing of the video stream of the high-luminance range and the subtitle stream of the high-luminance range in combination. The extended region stores second playback control information specifying playing of the video stream of the standard-luminance range and the subtitle stream of the standard-luminance range in combination.
Abstract:
A playback method of reading out and playing streams from a recording medium is provided in which are recorded a stream file, a playlist file, first and second combination information, elementary streams that can be played at the same time with the first luminance video, and elementary streams that can be played at the same time with the second luminance video. The playback method includes in a case of playing the first luminance video, reading out any one of the elementary streams listed in the first combination information of the playlist file, and playing at the same time with the first luminance video, and in a case of playing the second luminance video, reading out any one of the elementary streams listed in the second combination information of the playlist file, and playing at the same time with the second luminance video.
Abstract:
A playback device reads out and plays contents from a recording medium. The playback device includes a first decoder that decodes a base video stream and an enhanced video stream, a second decoder that decodes encoded graphics data, and a first superimposer that superimposes the enhanced video information and stores enhanced high-luminance video information in a first video plain. The playback device also includes a first processor that converts color of a number of levels into a converted number of levels, a second superimposer that superimposes the decoded graphic data on the enhanced high-luminance video information, a second video plain storing the video information, and a second processor that converts color of a number of levels into a converted number of levels. The playback device further includes a third superimposer that superimposes the decoded graphic data on the high-luminance video information, and an outputter that outputs the superimposed result.
Abstract:
A non-transitory recording medium is provided that is reproduced by a playback device having an attribute reader, a decoder, and an outputter. The recording medium has recorded therein a video stream that is encoded video information, and a management information file correlated with the video stream. The management information file includes first attribute information, indicating whether a dynamic range of luminance of the video stream is a first dynamic range or a second dynamic range that is wider than the first dynamic range. In a case where the first attribute information indicates the second dynamic range, the first attribute information also indicates a type of the second dynamic range.
Abstract:
A play back device includes a readout unit and a playback unit. The readout unit reads out an encoded main video stream and an encoded sub-video stream that are recorded in a recording medium. The sub-video stream is a sub-video that is to be superimposed on the main video and displayed. The playback unit plays the main video stream and the sub-video stream that have been read out. The sub-video stream includes multiple sets, each set including a first sub-video stream for a first luminance dynamic range and a second sub-video stream for a second luminance dynamic range, which is wider than the first luminance dynamic range. In the same set in the multiple sets, a registration order of the first sub-video stream in the first database and a registration order of the second sub-video stream in the second database are the same.
Abstract:
A playback method using a playback device that plays a system stream file is provided. The playback device includes an individual decryption key that is owned individually by each of playback devices, and a common decryption key that is owned in common by a plurality of playback devices. The system stream file includes a first system stream file configured to be played back using both the individual decryption key and the common decryption key, and a second system stream file configured to be played back using only the common decryption key among the individual decryption key and the common decryption key. The method includes identifying whether the system stream file to be playback is the first system stream file or the second system stream file, in accordance with a file extension of the system stream file, and selecting a decryption process of the system stream file.
Abstract:
Recorded in a recording medium is a video stream, map information, and bitrate information of the video stream. The map information includes size information indicating data size of a section where a picture is recorded in the video stream, based on a predetermined stipulated data size. The stipulated data size differs in accordance with the bitrate information.
